Fashion is a business, but also and artform and we all know that they give them sometimes crazy make-up and bizarre things to well, sometimes "ugly" people or people with particular facial features help express the artist's vision during a fashion show, so ugly isn't necessarily the new beautiful, but it is interesting.
But on a different note, a lot of things which are considered ugly or artwork are now beautiful because we recognize the artistic value or how interesting it is.
