This weekend, I went to Chinatown with my family to enjoy our most favorite Chinese restaurant. However, we were all disappointed. It is not because of the food but the horrible thing that happened on the way to the restaurant.
When we were walking to the restaurant, a young lady came to us, and said she needs our help. I thought she was in trouble and would like to help her. But she suddenly took some horrible and bloody photos, and showed them to my 9 yeas old daughter. I was very angry that what she did to my little girl.
I: Oh my god, what are you doing? How can you show those horrible pictures to my children? You scared her.
Young lady: Sir, I just want show you the truth.
I: Sorry, I am not interested in your so-called truth. I just care about my family.
Young lady: Sir, Chinese government persecutes my friend to death. Because they practice falun gong.
I: madam, I heard shadowboxing , and I know Chinese government encourage people to practice it so as to be health. Why they persecute falun gong?
The Young lady became very excited, and say : you should to be against Chinese government and support us, then our shifu will protect you and your family. The people who support Chinese government will be in judgment at last.
……
What she said became more and more strange. My daughter was scared and was crying. I became angry and left with my family. This experience made us feel disappointed. I know many religions and other organization. But the organization that enforced passerby to support them , otherwise will be punished by their so-called god is the first one and the most disgusting one.

The young lady violated social conventions, that is true. She was wrong in what she did.
But when one's close friends have been killed for no reason at all, by an evil government, it makes one not care much about social conventions.
Try to forgive her. She has been unbalanced by the evil done to her.

Christians have been persecuted and martyred in China for the entire existance of the communist government ; but you can't find a single sign of them here seeking support in the streets {that's out of over a hundred million and growing in numbers}. they have our support there where the live under communist oppression and they still rejoice in the most in humane conditions...
You know, Chinese government can be very creative when it comes to tortue.

If you'll contact your local branch of the U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Association (USCPFA) their Winter 2009 copy of their magazine ("US-China Review") is completely devoted to Western religions in China. You can take what they write with a grain of salt but the portions that I have read run generally true to my experiences.
The official position of the Chinese government today (starting in 1982) is one of tolerance if the religion doesn't take an anti-government position.
Falun Gong early in the game took an anti-government position, and the government oppression of it has at times been brutal.
Thinking about the young woman who showed the kid photos to expose what she believed to be Chinese brutality against her people, I wonder what people's reactions would have been if during the Holocaust, when the Western nations were ignoring what was going on in Europe, a young Jewish woman had been going around showing people pictures of dead Jews to try to arouse people to help the European Jews.
Desperate people do desperate things.
But then again, I understand but am offended when some anti-abortion people go around shoving pictures of aborted babies in the faces of pro-abortion people (including their children).

Children do not need to see things like that by strangers walking the streets.
I do work for Darfur and we show a film and we ask all parents to take the children out of the auditoriums.
I learned about the Holocaust at a young age but no one ever showed me graphic pictures.
Children are to be protected until they are ready to learn about these things.
