The loudness of the lib outcry on this thread is deafening. I had to put in earplugs even before I clicked on it the noise was so LOUD!

I BET THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING  AROUND THE CLOCK TO COME UP WITH A GOOD EXCUSE OR CLEVER SPIN.

YET SO FAR ONLY MANAGED A BIG FAT GOOSE EGG FOR THIER EFFORTS.--:D:D:D

Only change that I see is the loudmouth OBAMABOTS suddenly changing into firm believers that SILENCE IS GOLDEN!!

GOODTIMES.-[cheers]--Tyr

"The Obama administration has essentially adopted the position of the Bush administration in these cases, even though candidate Obama was incredibly critical of both the warrantless wiretapping program and the Bush administration's abuse of the state secrets privilege," said Bankston.

It looked good on paper. :D

Obama got the only , "everything I do is great card."  Issued by some unseen lib/leftist force.

ONE GETS THAT WHEN ONE IS A CERTIFIED DEMIGOD!

Rumor is Bill Clinton had one as well but traded it in early  for a BJ..[fallingdown]-Tyr

What do people on this board think about the principle behind warantless wiretapping?

Personally, as I have stated before in the other thread about this topic, I would rather take my risk of being killed in a terrorist attack than concede the right to privacy over to the Government.

Excuse me..
I think this is utterly terrible. It's more overreach by the White House. Of course I'm against it.

On the other hand... You guys got NO room to point the "party over principle" finger.
This didn't matter to you ONE BIT when it was done on Bush's watch. In fact, you backed it 100% and made lame ass excuses the whole time. "If your not a terrorist, why are you worried", you said.

I asked you then if you were comfortable with these policies and powers moving on to a Democrat president. At that question you were dead silent.
Well.. Here we are, just as I predicted, the same unfettered authority to wiretap citizens has moved into the hands of a president that YOU don't trust. NOW, SUDDENLY, it matters to you.
You have zero credibility! So, eat my shorts!

I agree, and so did most liberals (adimantly and angrily) when it was the Bush admin policy...but now it seems they're ok with it.

Goodness me....What's CHANGED? [confused]

Pretty simple, really. The Democrats, like the Republicans don't ACTUALLY care about these issues. Few of ANY of them are smart enough or educated enough to even understand the issues, let alone put together a coherent image of where it's taking us.. They just follow along with the talking points of their party. When the bosses throw out the noise, they echo, echo, echo..

In short, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Except possibly the deck chairs.

Agreed.

Agreed, especially considering that wire tapping everyone in the country didn't keep us safe for the last 8 years (nor on 9/11).

You (we all) are no more likely to get killed by a "terrorist" than being struck by lightning.

Obama needs to remember why he was elected. Or he's going to find himself out of a job.
