Since coming into power in 2009, Gov. Luis Fortuño (R-Puerto Rico) has cut government spending by 20 percent, lowered taxes and raised the territory's bond status to its highest rating in 35 years -- all during a punishing economic climate.
Gov. Fortuño sat down with Reason Magazine Editor in Chief Matt Welch to discuss Puerto Rico's turnaround, federal immigration policy, the drug war, education reform, his support of statehood and a possible future in mainland politics.
That's nice. Paul Ryan has tried to do it across the entire country. All this would be nice if either man were running for President but they aren't. All in all, he wouldn't be a horrible pick. We have Joe Biden for that.

Yes, thanks for looking out for your Democrat friends. We really appreciate it. Who gives a rat's rear end what Democrats have to say about anything!?? That's what the election is about!!!! The full repudiation of everything they stand for and whatever they have to say about anything. Pandering??? Do you really think that independents and even moderate Republicans are going to give a damn what Democrats say about it??? So in your world, we're supposed to discount and disregard every minority out there because you're afraid of what some scurvy pigs on the other side have to say about it?? So tell me again, WHY ARE YOU ALLOWED ON THIS FORUM?
