Seriously, Dude? That ^^^ is your idea of exegesis? I'm afraid this thread is way over your head.
Studying the bible and making up interpretations about what it does and doesn't say is a total waste of time. The entire thing is completely false and serves only to provide scam artists with something with which to sucker people in.
The same silly argument ^^^ could be made about most of the world's literature. I certainly don't want to encourage you to study the Bible, but I don't want to see you yammer on about it either. If it has just come to your mind that the Bible is not an historical document, that could be a gateway to some real understanding. If all it leads you to is the notion that the whole issue is a waste of time, then common courtesy suggests you should stop wasting mine as well as your own.
I have commented time and again that the bible is not an historical document. While we have evidence of Pontious Pilate's existence, there is no evidence whatsoever of jesus, moses, noah, mary or joe just to mention a few. Few of the events reported, like the flood, obviously never occurred...just to name one.
Religion in general and xianity in particular, is the worst scourge, the foulest plague to ever beset mankind.
