So, how bad do the leaks have to be to really hurt Ms Rodham? I don't harbor any illusions that TRUMMP can get over 44%; so how bad does he info have to be to drive Hillary's numbers down enough for her to lose? Edited by dcbl, Sep 2 2016, 05:54 PM.

Probably a bit worse than they are now. She'd probably still win if the election were held today. Trump has a pretty hard ceiling at 40 these days. What may hurt Hillary though is third party voting. All of Stein's people and about half of Johnson's seem to be coming from her potential base. This is Trump's possible way to a win. If he fractures the electorate enough, he can bring all the boats down to his level. Trump has a pretty strong floor of fanatical followers who adore him. But if Johnson does accumulate more support, the question is where will it come from? There is no guarantee it will keep syphoning off from both sides. Despite the lack of enthusiasm for her, Clinton also probably has a floor somewhere composed of a combination of people who genuinely like her and people who genuinely hate Trump and won't go third party. Unfortunately, her polls have shown noticeably unsettling weakness in the past week. That means she can't run out the clock. The race seems to be resetting to where it was before the conventions. A close contest with Clinton a bit on top. The big questions now are Assange and the debates - both of which could help Trump. But if she's at her floor and his ceiling hasn't moved, then it won't be enough. The further good news for Hillary is that her weakness in Pennsylvania has dried up which is very promising. If Kaine can help her carry Virginia, that may be about all she needs even if she loses Ohio and Florida. Trump really needs to crack Pennsylvania and right now he isn't. Right now, I give Hillary 60/40 odds. |

Johnson is a wild card in regards to whom he draws votes from...I disagree Trump can't get beyond 40....for the first time in my adult lifetime the debates could swing this thing wildly .....if Johnson gets into the debates Hillary wins...he is bought and paid for by DC elites....much like Kasich was.... If he's not in the debates Trump wins big.... Edited by clone, Sep 2 2016, 06:23 PM.

I originally believed that Johnson being in the debate would help Clinton. Now I'm not so sure. Two previously pro-Clinton friends I have who despise Trump have now defected to or are seriously considering Johnson. Johnson is pulling a lot of anti-Trump conservatives but his message is geared to the anti-Trump middle where Clinton should do well. |

The first and only political ad I've heard on talk radio yet (we've been blessed, I pity those in swing states) here in rock solid conservative area of Texas was Gary Johnson.....for those not following closely like we morons do it was well done and very convincing as an alternative....most average GOP here hate the GOP and the way the ad was done it appealed to that.... Can't vouch that's their campaign isn't doing the same thing in libtopias.... Again on paper I like Johnson...he was at the top of my list last election....until I saw him and listened to him....he's just weird.....he's a big pothead so that might contribute to it....but he's more rainmanesque imho...... |

Gary Johnson is any example of why Trump is winning...His view would also justify why someone would not be committing a crime if they needed money and robbed a liquor store....For years I have said that illegal immigration would be the biggest issue in this election...... In Friday's IBD/TIPP poll on Friday, Trump is now essentially tied with Hillary...Oh how the mighty Hillary machine is falling... I credit the change to Trump's use of teleprompters...His message is the same..........,....

the LA Times / USC poll now has Trump ahead!! That poll seems to always be the outlier... at this point, I believe that we would have to have documented photographs of Hillary bathing in the blood of transgendered negroe children for her numbers to take a substantial enough hit to do her in... And they called Reagan the "Teflon politician"... |

Dude...what your're not seeing reflected in the polls is the "monster" vote... https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/06/09/oh-my-new-york-times-quietly-discusses-data-evidence-of-the-monster-vote/ http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/08/an_early_sign_the_monster_vote_for_trump_may_turn_out.html Forget that Hillary is not healthy....she is just horrible as a candidate and with Trump grabbing the headlines daily they are going to have to put her out there and she is just not likable in any way.... And I would argue it is Trump that is Teflon....he has taken more paid and unpaid attacks than any candidate in history and is still viable....(in his first political campaign) When u understand this combined with the monster vote and Hillary's horribleness....u have to be amazed at what Trump has done to date... |

Forget Reagan. It's Trump who is teflon. If Reagan had done a quarter of the things Trump has, he couldn't have got his own family to vote for him. As unthinkable as it might be, I'm beginning to believe Trump will be elected president. There literally does not appear to be anything so horrible, disgusting, obscene, looney or idiotic that he can do that people won't forget it in about two weeks and decide he's a viable option again. It is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. It is as though the entire nation has developed a case of political Alzheimer's. |
