While the media will have you believe Donald Trump is on the cusp of overtaking Clinton, the polls speak for themselves. After CNN got caught cooking the polls to benefit Trump, the Washington Post/ABC News came back with a dose of truth: Hillary Clinton is still trouncing Trump. Their most recent poll, released September 11, shows Clinton with a 10 point lead (45-35) over Trump among registered voters, and a five point lead (46-41) among likely voters. According to the poll, 7 in 10 voters have already made up their minds about who to vote for, while 3 in 10 say they are undecided or could change their mind in the coming months. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2016/09/11/poll-clinton-leads-trump-by-10-points-obamas-approval-rating-skyrockets/ |

The key to any poll is the sample. Not only the size but the make-up. Some of the polls that showed Trump surging had a likely voting model that was heavy on white, non-college voters. These sames polls, if adjusted to reflect voting patterns from the last presidential election showed Clinton pretty much where she has been. What is more troubling is the shift in the electoral college. Clinton is starting to slip in the traditionally red states that she was surprising in. While she still has a sizable lead, she no longer "has it won" in electoral votes and needs to buck up her support in some key battle ground states. It is getting interesting. |

When Trump heard this news, he swallowed a handful of amphetamines and screamed ''Get me to my Fuhrer bunker!'' Edited by Attaburnsinhell, Sep 12 2016, 09:47 AM.
