So you support the coach's suppression of a player's free expression.

Why is that so hard for you to just say?

When he's on the teams dime at a team event his expression ain't free....

The league makes a fortune off the lifetime effort, hard work and backs of their players.

It's not a product they create, it's a talent and ability they seek and compete for.

If you had only defended Pamela Geller's free speech, then you might have some credibility.
I did not challenge Ms. Gellar's right to free speech. I stood in opposition to her inciting for the sake of inciting and hate. A reckless act of idiocy, steeped in bigotry and disrespect with a high potential for violence. An act that endangers further the public and those that bravely serve our nation.

And yes, had someone been shot and killed she would have celebrated the chance to advance further her hate based on it while claiming total innocence of her role in the event of such a tragic occurrence.

God, you're an idiot... these dudes are protesting... there are ramifications to that protest, something that you seem clinically able to understand... Brandon Marshall has lost 2 endorsements already

I will add that Kaepernick's 'protest' seems a bit convenient as he's slipped to 2nd banana on a crappy football team... I think he's just trying to boost his brand... Rosa Parks he is not
Of course their are ramifications and they won't end with a loss of endorsements but with those members of the public that these protests are about and whose stories folks like you ignore.

His protest is not "convenient" it is courageous given the known degree of backlash he knew would be echoed back.

Oh and crappy team? Did you happen to catch Monday Night Football last night? :hooray:

I thought the Eagles played the worst team in the NFL this week until I saw last night's game. SF won't win 5 games unless they play the Rams 4 more times.

WTH is so courageous about it? He gets paid millions of dollars to watch a bunch of other overpaid physical freaks play a game while holding a clipboard. I really don't care what his opinion is - means nowt to me but I'm glad you're so deeply touched and attuned to the problems in the black community.

It's shark and remora. That's player and league.

Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

So you hate the Right to protest in a free society?

Why?

Is the NHL at will employment or guaranteed?

I'll bet C2C will not defend your right if you say I hate gay people while at work.

NHL players are not whiners.
The players of the NHL rock. They have been by far the most socially progressive athletes out there.

Last I heard, at will means the employer can dismiss the employee for any reason as long as the reason does not violate the law.

Are you saying the coach has no right to bench a player deemed unfit to play?
