Can't trust Vox though - I am shocked that they still think they are relevant I found this my friend - what do you think? http://www.npr.org/2016/11/09/501451368/here-is-what-donald-trump-wants-to-do-in-his-first-100-days |

I posted it earlier. Vox sourced but it was President Trumps quote. Some of it I think is good, some not so good. That depends on your point of view. It's a new sheriff in town and he rules are changed. I accept that reality. Edited by CautionaryTales, Nov 10 2016, 04:48 PM.

I am not even sure what Trumps position on South Korea was. Is this about letting them have nuclear weapons? Or sending them a bill to patrol the DMZ? |

It's his reassurance that the US won't be abandoning them. In spite of the rhetoric over payments for service. |

It's called diplomacy. S Korea has been better than most in supporting America, but S Korea is a wealthy prosperous nation which can rise or fall on its own now. |

The wall will be built or he will be a one-term President. He knows this and will get it built. |

on the first day, I will take the following five actions to restore security and the constitutional rule of law: * FIRST, cancel every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama * SECOND, begin the process of selecting a replacement for Justice Scalia from one of the 20 judges on my list, who will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States * THIRD, cancel all federal funding to Sanctuary Cities * FOURTH, begin removing the more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants from the country and cancel visas to foreign countries that won't take them back * FIFTH, suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur. All vetting of people coming into our country will be considered extreme vetting. |

For some maybe, but not for me. Had my wife retired in October as planned, I'd have lost half my specialists. The only one I don't mind losing is my fat fingered Urologist. Our choice it seemed was between keeping our local specialists or opting for a policy accepted by major cancer centers like M.D Anderson. So that's MY reality, one I'm sure many others share, Whether it is, as you say, 'mostly true' or not, may not be quite as true as you think. But I'm not one who wishes to flush Obamacare down the toilet, but it could sure use some tweaking. Would like to see insurance companies be able to compete across state lines. It would be great to have a choice between more than 2 or 3 plans. Rates in Texas will be jumping y 55% next year. No subsidies for me. A premium plan with vision and dental is going to cost us in the range of $18 - $20K in 2017. The 'pre-existing condition" clause is going to benefit me when the time comes we do retire and flip insurance carriers. A problem as I see it with ACA is the direction in which D's & R's want to take it. I'm honestly not sure where Republicans want to go..probably a more competitive free market, but I think it's pretty obvious that the Democrats crafted the plan as a stepping stone to single pay government provided insurance. Kind of like "Hey, let's fu@k things up so we can fix it our way. I gotta admit I've been spoiled by employer provided insurance. The cost of Ringo's Rockin 2016 Brain Cancer-Palooza Tour is running in the range of a Quarter Mil. Our out of pocket so far is about $4,000.00. ________________________________________________ There is no "considering" that Trump is a liar...He is a liar. |

Well, for one thing CT, I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself here, demanding accountability of a president who won't even be inaugurated for a few more months. I'd say NOT BEING PRESIDENT YET, is about a good excuse as any. For now anyway.
Again...NOT PRESIDENT YET. It's yet to be seen how much opposition / obstruction he will face. I suspect a great deal. Democrats will use the very same parliamentary tactics against Trump that they screamed 'foul' over when Republicans did it. Dem's and some Rep's aren't going to roll over for him. He can't build his stupid wall without the congressional purse.
What's changed my friend is something we both know to be true. There's a new administration in power with a big ole fat R behind the name. Now suddenly the left will be demanding accountability of the new administration that they so flippantly shrugged off with the previous administration. Don't get me wrong here. There's no question that the right is guilty of the same. (see Bush Administration) Oh wait!...that's all moot right? No... It is not moot. Obstruction is a funny word. It kind of get's a bad rap. When I was a kid, I obstructed a toddler from drowning in the community swimming pool. My sister obstructed a burglar from robbing us by blowing his thumbs off with dad's shot gun. I once obstructed thieves from stealing my dad's 8-Track by putting 3 rounds into the right rear quarter panel of their 55 Chevy Low-Rider with an awesome metal flake gold paint job.... with my M-1 Carbine. An under cover narcotics agent once obstructed me from getting my throat slit by preventing me from foolishly rushing into a drug smuggling exchange on the border. I could go on.... So the point is, to summarily view obstruction as "counter productive" is to assume that whatever you're trying to obstruct is good and productive. And yes, there is EVERY reason for continued obstruction. I think the future of our country is riding on it, and I hope Democrats as well as Republicans will step up to the plate to 'obstruct' many of Trump's crazy assed campaign promises. |

Just putting this out here for future checking/ bumping There is a lot of difference between getting elected and governing. It is my hope that I am pleasantly surprised in President Trump. I am somewhat concerned that so many of his followers have taken this as an opportunity to turn loose their over the top racist comments and action. I hope it all calms down soon. I'll give President Trump every chance to do the job. I hope his followers remember the promises that he made to them that turned them loose. I would hope that they would speak up if he fails. It's my intention to remind them of what he has said he will do. That's about it. He won't care about those of us that don't start out trusting him. If he lets his following down that's another story. Edited by CautionaryTales, Nov 11 2016, 09:08 AM.

What I'm asking, Mr Tuna, is what the followers expect of President Trimp, if anything. From what I see, not a lot. They seem to be content with the bluster and sloganeering of the campaign. |
