Trump is going to turn out like those Republican appointed Supreme Court justices who they thought were conservative but turned out to be liberal stalwarts |

Same. I'll give him a chance. His core is a New York liberal. My guess is trump will pass his progressive agenda by getting the support of non conservative reps and majority of Dems |

Remember when Obama proposed a trillion dollar stimulus package that would have been heavily infrastructure based, and got shouted down by the Republicans because it would create too much additional debt and was nothing more than wasteful spending? And now a Republican President is proposing a massive tax cut along with a trillion dollars in infrastructure spending. Probably going to be the best thing since sliced bread, now. Right? And to hell with the wasteful spending and additional debt. Edited by Opinionated, Nov 11 2016, 01:49 PM.

Obama was right to support infrastructure expenses. I was hoping for that. Perhaps Trump will have better luck with it. |

They're going to be all like, "It's not a stimulus package! It's...uhm...a package...of...stimulus! Yeah! That's it! That's completely different!" |

As Elizabeth Warren stated yesterday, Donald Trump and liberal Democrats have common ground on regulating banks, protecting Social Security, opposing trade deals, college affordability, and rebuilding infrastructure. I see no reason to believe Mr. Trump was lying when he set these policy goals during the campaign. Democrats have already pledged to work with him on these issues despite opposing him on others. This seems like an encouraging basis for bipartisan cooperation, doesn't it? |

Trump did not run as a Reagan Conservative, he ran as a Calvin Coolidge nationalist. Why is this hard to understand? Rubio was the conservative choice and he was rejected. |
