My sister, who is both a lesbian and a bartender, was called into work on her day off Thursday because the local LGBTQ community had organized a safe space sit in/kum-ba-ya singing/potluck at the bar where she is employed, and the crowd was so large that they required all of their bartenders to keep people served. She related to me, in our most recent discussion, the fearful, scared, and wounded nature of the people who attended.
I have seen the scene she described played out in the media over and over this week. People don't feel safe, they think they're about to be deported, or that they're going to be rounded up and put in FEMA camps, sued for their speech, etc.
So it falls on one of us right leaning individuals to point out to you that yes, we are all very familiar with the sensation you're experiencing right now. We felt it in 2008 and in 2012.
We also know the cure to this feeling of powerlessness in the face of what you believe is an out-of-control government.
The 2nd Amendment.
Yep! That soul wrenching horror that you have sitting like a brick in your stomach? That's what inspired the 2nd.
If you are scared to death that Donald Trump is going to do to you what you wanted Hillary to do to the right wing, then you should go buy yourself a gun.

"If you are scared to death that Donald Trump is going to do to you what you wanted Hillary to do to the right wing..."
My advice is for everyone is chill for now. Conservatives survived Obama and Clinton, liberals survived Reagan and Bush. Whatever Trump does, and no one knows yet what that will actually be, we'll all get by. Demonizing the "other side" is part of what got us such a horrible batch of candidates, and such a divisive election. Much better to focus on the actual issues that are important to you, look for ways to solve or address individual problems, and go on with life.
I see a lot of panic by the left, and crazy amounts of celebration / kool aid drinking by some on the right. Reality looks a lot more typical and mediocre. No matter where one is on the political spectrum, it's likely Trump will do some good things and some bad things, like every other president in history. Far more effective to cheer the policies you like, and protest the ones you don't when they happen, than to freak out about everything before he even takes office.

Your sister works at a place frequented by morons....You know what would be super cool?
Parents who could teach their kids coping skills. If these people are supposed to crap themselves and drown in tears every time something doesn’t go their way they are going to get run over by the Social Darwinism bus before they're 25.

As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBT*Q* citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful, foreign ideology [Islamism], believe me.

And I have to say, as a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said. Thank you. ~Trump GOP Convention speech
Only liberals can choose not to go down the road to widespread, systematic violence.

Actually, most of the group that showed up is 35-40 years old, has a college degree, a home, and a career. I've been friends with many of them since she first met them in college 15 years ago, and they aren't "delicate snowflakes". Most of the ladies who were there are members of her professional rugby team, or the amateur women's football team she plays for (Go Detroit Dark Angels!).
It is yet another example of the power our social bubbles have in determining our outlook on life, I guess.

I recall all the delicate snowflakes panicking when Obama won. All these cons boasting now were crying then.(esto, etudo, fashy, clone et al) The ones not boasting now weren't cowering then. (nonneo, dcbl, et al)

Obama xxxxed up the democrat party. Obama was also elected as a change candidate and then got on his knees for the establishment.

Yet when Trump does the same, you'll defend it.
Trump already xxxxed up the republican party - it needed to be proper xxxxed.

Where have you been for the last 8 months?
Trump is not the anti-establishment savior you've been looking for
