President-elect Donald J. Trump’s picks for top behind-the-scenes advisers are roiling Washington. Now there are statistics to back the rising concerns.

Hate crimes surge, led by attacks on Muslims.

The F.B.I. reported Monday that attacks against American Muslims rose last year, driving an increase of about 7 percent in hate crimes against all victims.

I am sure that the increase in attacks on Muslims in the last year had nothing at all to do with the multiple attacks committed on US soil by Muslim extremists. It's all Trump's fault lol.

People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would do them harm.

Since Trump has been encouraging violence at his rallies, it's no surprise that some of his more strident azz hats are obliging him.
Lit the fire he did.
Put it out can he do?

Ok..would you at least admit that some have felt emboldened by the election?..why would these attackers wait till now to do their deeds?

I am not saying that its Trumps fault..heck, I will cop to him asking his supporters to stop.

Got any proof that these "hate crimes" are being perpetrated by Trump supporters? We got lots of proof of violent crimes being committed by Hillary supporters over these past few days.

So you don't have any proof...as I suspected.

According to your article the increase in attacks was over the past year and coincided with attacks by Islamic terrorists on US soil. Trump's contribution to those attacks is arguably nothing more than a wet dream in the fantasy world of the editorial section of the NYT.

In other words, the Muslims attacked us. Folks were going to respond to those attacks no matter what.

For the record, Trump has called for a stop to the violence in general.

The definition of bigotry is intolerance towards those who hold different opinions from oneself.

Atta, your post above proves are a bigot.

Voting for Trump was the expression of the desire not to see a super liberal SCOTUS. Bigotry and hate had nothing to do with it.

That may well have been your motive in voting for Trump; different voters had different motives. Te appointment of Bannon surely suggests that the ideas and comments on Breitbart for which he is famous are a link between Trump and a significant number of his supporters.

That's not what bigotry is

Bigotry is hatred towards people of different ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, things a person can't help being born of

Intolerance of another's opinion is acceptable, especially if their opinions express bigotry and hatred. I dont have to tolerate nazis
