WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald J. Trump’s transition was in disarray on Tuesday, marked by firings, infighting and revelations that American allies were blindly dialing in to Trump Tower to try to reach the soon-to-be-leader of the free world. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/16/us/politics/trump-transition.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=span-ab-top-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0 |

It was predictable that the NY Times would not be able to restrain itself any longer from attacking Trump...Did this liberal rag ever congratulate Trump for his amazing victory ???..................

Trump's "team" is structured like an archery target in a number of concentric circles with Trump and his kids at the center. Members of the inner core maneuver to establish alliances across the outer rings. That organization chart is centuries old. The more modern model of cascading boxes connected by a hieracrchy of horizontal committees is aimed at a unity of command. Right now at least, the Trump administration needs to avoid a unity of command because the varied constituencies it represents (Congress, RNC, special interests. alt right, state governors etc.) are far from unified or united on policy. The Trump ship is going to have to set sail with squabbling below decks still in full swing. An internally divided administration is especially vulnerable to paralysis from the opposition party. How the Donald gets his troops in formation and when will be a big factor in how his presidency works out. This is one place where Washington is really different from corporate America. We'll see... |

As Trump is beginning to discover, the federal government does not respond to "firing incompetence" in the way that a corporation does. There is more to this than civil service and congressional approval, the organization is a different critter. Trump has zero experience with this reality -- he has never had any government job. Whether he has the personal style necessary for him to learn the art of presidential administration will soon be evident. He seems to have blithely assumed that he can transfer his successful private experience to public administration. This is likely to be a major miscalculation. |

All power will emanate from the center, our dear leader...No more balancing of petty special interest groups...Trump is an artist capable of painting a new form of government...Trust him...He will make America great again, like George Washington............
