He probably just wanted to spare everyone from having to read a dozen articles about how he cuts his steak in an anti-Semitic manner
He doesn't want to answer questions about anti-Semite Steve Bannon.
I think that anyone would want to eat dinner rather than have to answer stupid questions through out the course of an evening on the town.
That's not quite how it works.

Trump Snubs Press, Grabs Steak Dinner

President-elect Donald Trump left his Trump Tower residence in New York City Tuesday night without notifying reporters, heading out to grab a steak dinner at the famed 21 Club.
He doesn't want to answer questions he can't control.

There's going to be a lot of ducking and conning that will be coming from this unqualified joke in the White House.

He will be like a whack a mole game on the Boardwalk for awhile. Sooner or later he will have to actually be in charge and actually answer questions about whatever he has done or not done.

His appointment of Bannon is a pretty dire warning sign though, so it looks like the needle will be pointing down when he finally is cornered to account for his decision making skills.

In the end he's going to be held to account.

Have you paid your internet taxes?

You must be confusing him with Hillary Clinton, who seemed to have a phobia about unfettered interviews.

The way I see it, the man said what he said and now he is going about implementing his agenda.

Plus, he's keeping campaign promises, what a novel idea! I know this seems strange, considering that President Obama just said that he will find out he can't do that.

Well, he's already restricted lobbyists from participating. That's a good start.

If he does not want to telegraph every move he makes, am OK with that. Especially when it comes to what his plans are to combat ISIS. This was actually one of his biggest and most effective critiques of Obama/Clinton policy - telegraphing our moves & giving an advantage to the enemy.

And make no mistake, the traditional American "free press" is an enemy of this administration - they have made no secret about that...

And if he releases bullsh!t stories that don't have national security implications to weed out leaks? Well, that's OK too. In fact, it's brilliant...
Republicans sign checks on the front, democrats sign them on the back…True story!

Republicans sign checks on the front, democrats sign them on the back…True story! If that were true they would not be stuffing their off shore accounts with theirr ill gotten gains.
Or their on shore accounts, aka The Clinton Foundation, with their ill gotten gains. Either way someone is stuffing something. I would think that Trump would hand pick the reporters that are going to have access to him. Reporters remind me of those Minion characters anyway. Worthless group of bias liars, why would Trump need them?
Hand pick reporters that will be given permission to access 'his' White House?

That is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship.

Is that how conservatives define a free society?

I don't know about Trump but that is what I would do.
That's scary.

It's easy logic. One usually does not invite someone they don't like to the backyard BBQ.

Were you concerned when Obama ditched his Press Pool as POTUS so he could go play golf with Michael Jordan? Or the times he ditched the Press Pool as POTUS to go watch his daughters play basketball or soccer? I don't remember you guys getting all hysterical about that....

The partisan ingroup bias worm turns again

Now dems are bitching about Trump doing something that cons bitched about Obama.
And cons will give Trump a pass for they very things they were outraged about when Obama did it

No wonder politics are so f*cked these days
