FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — In an enclave of a city known as the Venice of America, where dream-big houses look out over a maze of picturesque canals, the comparison to the Venice of Italy no longer seems so appealing. On Monday morning, shortly after November’s so-called supermoon dropped from view on Mola Avenue, it was easy to see why. The tide swelled on command. Seawater gurgled audibly up through manhole covers and seeped from the grass. Under a sunny sky, the water drowned docks and slid over low sea walls. By 8:15 a.m., peak tide, this street in the Las Olas Isles neighborhood was inundated, just like the Venice across the pond. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/18/us/intensified-by-climate-change-king-tides-change-ways-of-life-in-florida.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=second-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news |

Supermoons cause a strong gravitational pull on the earth's oceans. |

Super moons cause higher than usual tides. Global warming increases base sea level. Combined, there's increased chance for flooding, though local shore and wind effects can make that worse or better. |

Perhaps excessive urination contributes to man caused sea level rise..........

said the guy who usually does Tide mechanics and thermal expansion of water are both well-established science. If you want to challenge those, you'll need some very solid evidence. |

Accusations of lying and spreading false news which are unsubstantiated by any supporting evidence are a form of schoolyard insult. They are high school schoolyard level rather than the more traditional elementary schoolyard level but SYI just the same. |

Interesting theory. Perhaps you should publish a paper on that. |

San Diego is already fighting this problem by converting sewer water to drinking water..............

It is good to see you getting back down to a SYI commensurate with your IQ because you were sounding a bit woozy up there with that discussion of tides and gravity. |
