Americans are sick of the government failures created by lifelong government bureaucrats. Trump is appointing real managers, people that expect results not excuses. Just wait until our professional Washington employees start reporting to the new management team. I'm thinking there will be plenty firings and tears. I'm looking forward to it.
Wait until they learn that the bureaucracy eats these types of guys alive. It will be interesting the first time they try to fire someone and find out they can't because of civil service protections. The first time they try to kill a program or rearrange their budgets to do what they want and are told they cannot because of Congressional action. The government is not business and it has evolved that way over 200 years of learning.

Luckily we have a system that one man, Trump, can only do so much damage in a four year term. I hope that is still the case.
^^^Yay big inefficient ineffective intrusive wasteful ever expanding Nanny state gov't.....

That's a rather accurate admission. Your side has created a massively incompetent bureaucracy that basically serves itself, not the American people. It is clearly not a business, a business has customers, they have to provide a product or service people willingly choose. No one would voluntarily purchase the sheit services your government provides. Our liberal government is run more like a unionized extortion ring, you either pay up or they send their enforcement arm, the IRS to your house to break a few bones. Even if Trump can't fire hundreds of thousands of people he can make their lives so miserable they'll quit. The good government employees will respond, good people like to be challenged, the rest will quit or commit suicide at their desks. He could also slash their wages and benefits. It's a new day, the grossly incompetent government you worship is hopefully coming to an end.
"No. No he won't. We'll stop it."

We'll see how far that goes in Congress, especially the Congressmen who have large federal workforces in their districts.

The American people have the government they deserve and asked for through their voting, both Democrats and Republicans. Republicans have done just as much to build up the current government structure as anyone else.

I honestly am not bothered by this nomination when compared to some of the other troubling picks he has made.

I am more concerned about EPA, Justice, Education, HUD, HHS and NSC. Those has nominated are truly dangerous and troubling.

EPA has massively over stepped it's bounds.

Justice has been derelict and partisan in their duty.

Education can eliminated tomorrow

Same with HUD and HHS...

Foreign policy is the responsibility of POTUS, the Sec. of State is the person who runs the State Department and carries out the policy. Tillerson seems well qualified for the job. If you don't like the foreign policy of the Trump administration, blame the President.

Our failures with the Sunnis in the Middle East require a successful deal with Putin. Put a clothespin on your nose if you can't stand the stench, but fifteen years of bipartisan disasters have to be cleaned up and fast. Tillerson may just be the man for the job.
