Delta Air Lines has confirmed that a woman was forcibly removed from a flight at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after failing to comply with proper boarding procedures.

On Monday, a YouTube clip posted by user account Rene deLambert surfaced online. The two-minute video shows a woman being dragged down the center aisle of the plane by police officers as they hold onto her wrists.

In the clip, one bystander can be heard saying, “They must have Tasered her."

Another witness says,“No one is gonna’ believe me if I tell them," as the woman is dragged off the aircraft.

A spokeswoman for the airport told FOX 2 Detroit that the woman has been ticketed but has yet to be charged for the incident.

"At approximately 8 this morning, Delta Air Lines contacted Detroit Metropolitan Airport's police department requesting assistance with a passenger who would not comply with boarding and baggage check procedures at a McNamara Terminal gate

Yeah, dragging her off of there was giving those cops a hard time.

Think about how small that space really is then think about that space filled with people going nuts trying to escape in an accident.

Watching that video made me think about the flight that landed on the Hudson river and they got everyone out before it sank. That was one hell of an effort by the crew.

I'm guessing you'll find some of those overstuffed ballots the Detroit News has been talking about....

If she was trying to stick 8 bags in the overhead, then she should have been tasered.

I do miss the old days of flying when families went to the gate to see loved ones off or to meet them.

Recently I was flying back from Oakland and while waiting at the gate next to mine an incoming flight was letting off it's passengers. I went over to the gate and stood there as if I was watching for a loved one to debark from the aircraft, like the old days. An employee asked me if she could help me and I said "No, I'm just pretending that I'm meeting someone like we used to do back in the day." She laughed and said "Yeah."

You know, it actually felt... well... healthy.

Those days are gone.

Sad but true. These days the only way you will be able to watch someone leave or pick someone up at the gate is if they are a minor child flying unaccompanied. Even then it is a pain in the tail.

I suppose it is still possible to meet family at the arrival point but only if you are among those who fly private aviation.

Might be anecdotal for you...not true in my family...also part of the reason in those days it happened was flying was a special occurrence.....in my blue collar family it was a big deal for someone to get on an airplane...I remember the whole family dressing up like we were going to church for our first family flight that my parents saved for two years to take us to Disney ...

Of course my mom would make put on a Travolta like suit to go to elementary school birthday parties when everyone else was casual....might explain my fashion sense...

Now we fly the friendly skies stuffed in sardine cans after being groped by TSA....The pilot is drunk...A stewardess looks and acts like a Storm Trooper....The guys in your row speak in Arabic...You are greeted on arrival with discovering they lost your luggage............. :wah:
