It will be interesting to compare job creation month-over-month by Trump with that of his predecessor eight years previously. Perhaps Mr. X will keep us informed as the new administration proceeds. |

The mindset of businesses both large and small is changing. We FINALLY have a pro-business leader that wants to work with businesses instead of punishing them for their success. Most US companies, as we speak, are undoubtedly altering their business plans to adapt to a more friendly business environment. After 8 years of Obama leadership the US isn't even in the top ten of business friendly countries. Trump is hanging the sign, "US Open For Business." |

You need to look at this at a different angle Gatorman. Trump is able to bring real jobs back to the states vs. Obama fast food and seasonal jobs creation. There are more jobs on the horizon and putting people back to work was one of Trump's promiises. |

If Obama thinks the jobs he created are so great, perhaps he should get a job at McDonalds after he retires from the Presidency....("You want fries with that ???")..........

I agree with your idea. The comparison should be sophisticated enough to distinguish between fast food jobs and manufacturing jobs. This will not be difficult data to gather as labor economics is a major branch of the science in every university and private economics firm. Trump has made it clear that he is focused on wages not just job numbers. He has staked out this area of the American economy as one of his benchmarks and there is every reason to take his statements seriously. Mr. Trump has been clear that recent government policies on the economy have been "a disaster." He intends to remedy that disaster and in this I wish him well, as Americans should. For Democrats to set a goal of making Trump a one-term president by blocking his every move would damage us all. Only the most cynical political ideologue would consider such a destructive tactic. |
