Yes. And that's a good thing. Democracy is a discredited relic of the past; it's time to proceed to the next era of Western Civilization.
Actually western civilization is quite awful. If anything, that's what should be done away with

Dirty, obese, polluted, destructive, built on genocide, slavery, stupidity and incompetence, always at war with somebody. Scientists now know that this perversion of humanity isnt reversed, there wont be any civilization, in fact any creatures left on land or sea before the century is out

The great threat to American democracy comes when the person in charge become the puppet and toady of a foreign power

Being Putin's junior partner gives Trump a blueprint to rule, not govern. In turn Putin expects a lot of leeway towards how he will act, lest he call in Trump's debt

Putinism is a hybred of how the People's Republic of China rule their country, through violent intimidation of the citizens (Tianamin Square for example), threats of arrest and black sight incarceration, torture, censorship, and very importantly, one party rule.

China and Russia no longer employ communism as their economic model. They have a form of state controlled capitalism, favoring cronyism, expecting companies to toe the line and kiss the ruler's ring, otherwise they too would be considered dissidents, and suffer the same consequences, or at the very least, break one economically through the power of the state

IOW, it's a top down, state run mafia

I'll share your concern when his Secretary of State starts openly selling influence, his IRS director conducts war on the democrats, he lies to us about TrumpCare and he starts bowing to turd world dictators, until then I can't wait for my tax cut!
Lies like this that are allowed to propogate are a bigger threat

Western civilization comes with plenty of choices, you can work hard and enjoy the benefits or waste your life doing nothing. I personally love my American life, I have a really nice house, a business, several cars, plenty of toys, I've traveled the world, I have great healthcare and look forward to an enjoyable retirement doing something new.

It's all what you make it, if you're a lazy POS living in a trailer and spend your time bitching because others have more than you then life can be pretty miserable. There's no perfect system, there's capitalism and the lifestyle I live or there's attanomics and a life of sacrifice, misery and being controlled by government liars.

I don't see Americans flocking to Venezuela or Cuba?

Short answer, no. Our Founders created a system that is bigger than anyone one person. I am more concerned about the discussions to change the Electoral College and the Filibuster rule in the Senate.

I thought Reagan was a threat, turns out he did damage we are still dealing with but the Republic survived. Reagan looks like reasonable person compared to the Trumpets (the people around Trump)

So the left's solution is to import more barbarians to solve these problems you mentioned?

What you advocate will lead to civil war, with no guarantee that your side will prevail.

News flash, democrat lose an election so our freedoms are in danger and the Nazis are taking over. This is where the left is, enacting pro-business policies, bringing jobs back to America, enforcing immigration laws and fair trade should be interpreted as hostile takeover.

Just admit it, you're all a bunch of whinny sore losers that need therapy.

I agree with you that many of the Democrats are "a bunch of whinny sore losers that need therapy," but Republican conduct during the past eight years has hardly been better. The bipartisan reality is that our political discourse has been cheapened by a number of factors and is obviously not conducive to the sort of civil democracy we claim to uphold.

It is fun how for the left Trump is a puppet of Russia but his nomination for Ambassador to Israel supports policies that are exactly the opposite of those Russia has for that nation. Yet, the left still wants to complain about this nomination because they fail to realized that their position on Israel mirrors Russia's.

Let's be clear, Russia wants a more communist America and the only way to get that is through the policies of the left.

I see no evidence that "Russia wants a more communist America;" the last twenty-five years offer incontestable evidence that Russia certainly wants a less communist Russia." Where is your evidence?

Similarly, I wonder what you think Russian policy towards Israel is. Russia has powerful ties to the Jewish state with millions of Russian speaking Israelis, some of whom occupy top positions in the Likud coalition. Could you be specific?

Politics in America swings from right to left like a pendulum on a clock. When you're party is not in power all that means is you're up next. A reasonable question is why are people so obsessed with which party is running the show? From my perspective it's because government has way too much power. For others, they believe the government should have more power, especially to divvy up the pie, ensure equity and control capital. I know that's where we disagree so I'll leave it at that. Reasonable men should behave like reasonable men, both sides are more emotional than necessary.

It's a Republic
It's a democratic republic..
"It's" a Constitutional Republic.

"A Constitutional Republic is a state where the officials are elected as representatives of the people, and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over citizens. A Constitutional Republic is the current form of government in the United States."

She's gone...no threat to you anymore.
Yes she is gone but that doesn't mean the Trump administration shouldn't be held to the same low standards. You accepted it then and I expect you to accept the same from the Trump administration.

I'm thinking there will be a liberal meltdown if Trump passes TrumpCare just to see what's in, along strict partisan lines and lies about being able to keep the ObamaCare you have if you like it period.

It's all good though, you've been on top for 8 years, I know you enjoyed it....now it's our turn!

But now you'll have to actually do something with the car ya accidentally caught.

I don't have to do anything. Like I said I didn't vote for Trump in the primaries. Unfortunately the democrats left me no choice but to vote for Trump. I've been voting for a lot of years yet I've never had two choices like this, especially with one candidate as corrupt as Hillary and under multiple FBI investigations. It's also no secret the middle class took a thumping for the past 8 years, again that wasn't my fault. I'm going to give you the credit for this one.

Israel is not one of Russia's allies. In fact, Russia at every turn and in nearly every security council meeting does what it can to destabilize and alienate the state of Israel.

By more communist I don't mean that they literally want us to take up communism, they want us to make the same economic mistakes that communism made and to do this, they need the DNC more than the RNC.
