A Jewish family whose child attends an elementary school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania has fled the county out of fear for its safety following false reports on Fox News and Breitbart implying that the family forced the school to cancel a Christmas play.

Fox News and Breitbart reported the story correctly, from what I can see. Notice that Slate said they "implied" that the parents complained. What that actually means is they reported that parents claimed the play got canceled due to complaints. What is wrong with that? They didn't state it as fact.

I also don't see anything in their reports that point to anyone specific. They said "unnamed parents."

So, Slate is lying. Big shocker there.

Fake News. Send this thread to UUU.

Update, Dec. 22, 2016, 8:40 p.m.: The Anti-Defamation League has spoken with the parents in question and asserted that the original report in Lancaster Online overstated their fear. The parents told the ADL that they left on vacation and did not “flee.”
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

In the meantime, white nationalists in Whitefish, Montana continue to fail in finding any Jewish residents of the town...They do have plenty of Swedes they could blame for the problems in town............ :dunno:

The real culprit here is the Lancaster Online who published the original story.

Unfortunately the story is buried behind a registry requirement, but the headline gives us insight into the content.

That's old school, they used to fight over who had the honor to stick the spear in Santa's side. They became frustrated as three days later Santa always rose from the dead. Nowadays they sell celebrate by selling shares in mutual funds that promise a 20% return. A very nice gift, you get a statement for the first couple years that shows how much money you've made! The problem is they don't allow withdrawals.

Happy Hanukkah!
