President-elect Donald Trump on Friday shared a letter he received from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who urged the next president "to take real steps to restore the framework of bilateral cooperation" while offering Trump his "warmest Christmas and New Year greetings."

"A very nice letter from Vladimir Putin; his thoughts are so correct," Trump said in a statement. "I hope both sides are able to live up to these thoughts, and we do not have to travel an alternate path."

So was this before or after they both embraced a new nuclear arms race?

Personally, I think it's time to look into chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction. Probably a lot more cost effective..doncha know

WW3 actually seems far more possible now. Putin is emboldened, the middle east is still a mess, and now we have a new nuclear arms race to look forward to. Not good.

Paradoxically, WWIII is less likely if we try limited nuclear weapons against some Islamoterrorist primitives................ :machinegun: :headexplode:

Because killing hundreds of thousands or millions of innocents would make us more popular? Unlikely.

Had we not bombed at all, we'd have far fewer enemies. The more we try to 'fix' that part of the world, the worse it gets.

How Trumpian isolationist of you.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

Nonsense. Trump was aiming at China. He is trying to woo Russia and isolate China.

That's even less rational. Have you any supporting evidence of that plan?
