Obama: "I have a phone, I have a pen."
Trump: "I have a phone, I have a pen, I have all the executive mandates Democrats gave me."

True as can be. It's all in his hands. (excepting that "mandate" thing)
No point in pretending otherwise.
I think you misunderstand my meaning. Perhaps mandate was a misnomer. Rather than legislating as they're paid to do, they allowed/encouraged Obama to wield his mighty pen and phone, setting a precedent for Trump. They pulled the nuclear option, essentially emasculating themselves from effectively blocking Trump's nominations. Their lack of foresight and consideration of the potential consequences never ceases to amaze me.

What do you expect when you give a monkey a machine gun?

The Trump mandate is interesting. The GOP lost seats in the House. The GOP lost seats in the Senate. Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3,000,000 -- that is more than the entire population of fifteen different states and the District of Columbia. If there is a Trump mandate in those votes, I'm not seeing it.

Where the GOP has real power is the Electoral College and gerrymandered districts in red states. The polls show that on just about every issue, a majority of Americans side with the Democrats, not the Republicans. Of course, you would never know it from reading P.com.

Still, the GOP mandate, whatever one thinks it may be, has got to be pretty fragile. Trump managed to walk away successfully from his casino bankruptcies in Atlantic City. If he goes bankrupt on his White House, he isn't going to walk away with a smile, even if he again manages to leave his investors holding the bag.

Then... you weren't entitled to my vote and can stop blaming me for not giving you it. :booboo:
You actively worked to get the guy elected.
So did you saying you didn't need our votes. Pot calling kettle black.
I said that your vote and your demands to get your belly rubbed to deliver that vote weren't worth it.
It still isn't worth it.
Never will be worth it.

Look friend.... you decided to allow Trump to win a very close election. Now you are going to be crying the blues for at least four years while he works diligently against good sense.
You still whine and cry about the candidate that you had that was too weak to win the nomination.

You are the poster boy for deserving to get treated as Trump wishes.
Well if our demands were worse than Trump not being elected, then I suppose you feel that him getting elected isn't that bad when compared to some progressive demands.

As my candidate being too weak because of the fake news your candidate spread during the primary, well why are you crying about the fake news not being fair in the general? ;) Pondering minds want to know.

Friend, I'm simply anxiously waiting for the Trumpsters to do as they will with you.
It's the only way you are going to know better someday in the future.

The difference is that when you had the chance, you didn't step up and do what it would take to keep Trump out.
That's the difference.

Your fight up to the nomination was valid. Your behavior afterwards was not.

I might not have agreed with the reasons that would have nominated Sanders, but I would have voted for him to keep Trump out of the White House.

Now it's on you.

This due largely to a lack of Congressional cooperation.
Trump will have a free run with the Congress right there with him.

You don't understand... I care about Trump in the White House the exact same as I cared about Clinton in the White House. All you have is "Trump would be a disaster" prediction blah blah blah and here is my prediction "Well so would Clinton". We'd have WWIII with Russia with Clinton in the White House so I'm glad it's a disaster averted. This is why your whole "because Trump" reasoning never worked on me.

When was the last time a new President had the keys to the Whitehouse, Senate, House, Supreme Court, and the Pentagon ???....If not a mandate, it is a grand slam............

President-elect Donald Trump is still weeks away from officially becoming the next president of the United States, but Democratic senators are already hard at work planning on how they can stop his administration at every turn. Democratic leaders, including incoming Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, are targeting at least eight of Trump’s most controversial White House Cabinet nominations, vowing to stray from Senate tradition and delay confirmation sessions as far into the New Year as March.

Schumer: I Wish Democrats Hadn’t Triggered the ‘Nuclear Option’

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/04/schumer-i-wish-democrats-hadnt-triggered-nuclear-option/

Republicans hold a 52-48 majority in the new Senate which means they already have the number needed to confirm Trump’s nominees without the Democrats.

If Trump runs his White House like he ran his business and his campaign anything and everything is possible.

By spring his kids will be in Moscow working business deals and drinking tea at Putin's residence at Cape Idokopas on the Black Sea - and the conflicts of interest will start.

Imagine Trump selling America to the highest bidder just to make a buck. Shame on conservatives for supporting this charlatan.
