Republicans Are Courting Disaster on Health Care; http://www.urban.org/research/publication/implications-partial-repeal-aca-through-reconciliation

Even Donald Trump had to step in to stop Congress from meddling in their efforts to make changes.

Meddling republicans caused the Bay of Pigs invasion to go south, leading to Castro taking power for close to 55 years in Cuba.

In another case republicans during Reagans incoming presidency lead to the Iran Contra affair that still haunts us today.

I can cite other instances.

It will take several years before any alternate health care legislation can be put into service.

Most republicans don't want to rock the boat., Even Trump is having second thoughts on the matter.
Mr. Trump is on record as wanting no cuts in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. That last entitlement, Medicaid, is a fundamental component of ACA. If the reconciliation passes with its defunding of expanded Medicaid, millions of people will lose coverage overnight. The states hardest hit will be KY and WVA, states with a very high percentage of Trump voters. No wonder Trump wants to protect them and the millions of others who voted for him and who find themselves in the crosshairs of ACA repeal. It isn't Trump who wants to repeal the whole thing and forget about it, it is the hard right in the House.
Conservatism is a social disease
