Shep Smith is one of the news folks at FNC. The news portions of Fox News are always "fair and balanced" and this is by no means the first time that Smith in particular has come to the defense of other journalists who were just doing their jobs. I personally can remember at least two other occasions where Smith has taken a similar position. Honestly, this should not surprise anyone but I do realize that there are quite a few out there who can not tell the difference between a news hour on FNC with Shep Smith and an opinion show with O'Reilly or Hannity. |

Regardless - Buzzfeed and CNN crossed the line in reporting this unverified, unvetted information. Had it been the first time then i'd give it a pass - but CNN shilled for Clinton the entire election. |

To be fair, CNN just reported that there was a report. At least in the coverage I saw. Your assessment of CNN is accurate after the primaries ended but prior to that they did cover her in a somewhat neutral manner. Much as with FNC, don't forget that CNN has news segments and opinion segments. You can not fault their news people for things said and covered on opinion shows. |

That was part of the plan. Wikileaks revealed The DNC actually promoted the accession of Donald Trump during the primaries so that he would tear the party apart while becoming the nominee, or having a weaker nominee amongst a party where moral was low. That plan backfired - badly. I do not fault CNN, although I think they are heavily weighted on the opinon side and certainly have a persistent narrative that they are trying to maintain. That said, they are free to do so especially if they think that is what the market wants. Personally I could care less about what Don Lemon thinks, but I also could care less what Hannity or that hot judge thinks. Fox News also has degrees of fake news - but they were the resistance in this election with much less of it. Bill oReilly was surprisingly objective this election cycle. Fox News has done such an excellent job of maligning itself in the last years, they didn't even need Obama. FOX News has given us everything from war fake hero Bill O'Reilly to sexual predator Roger Ailes, and everything in between. Obama did it.
