WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Secret Service may discipline a senior official who suggested on Facebook that she did not want to “take a bullet” for President Donald Trump, the agency and a newspaper said.

The online comments, which were first reported by the Washington Examiner newspaper on Tuesday, were made over seven months ago by Kerry O’Grady, special agent in charge of the agency’s Denver district.

In a recent post, O’Grady made the logo for the anti-Trump Women’s March in Denver her Facebook cover backdrop on Friday, the day Trump was sworn in as president in Washington, the newspaper said.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the postings and the agency is taking quick and appropriate action,” the agency said in a statement on Tuesday. “Any allegations of misconduct are taken seriously and swiftly investigated.
As well they should, and if she's unwilling to fulfill her responsibilities? ..... then she should be relieved of those responsibilities, but that should be the limit of the imposed consequences.
The Secret Service does more than protect the president. She just needs to be moved to the financial crimes side of the Secret Service. They are the enforcement arm of the Treasury department, I don't see anything in her statements that would prevent her from doing that job.
She needs to be fired. If she can't separate her political views for her job she's unqualified and a liability. If she were moved to financial crimes it's rather clear she could not be impartial. We tolerated political assassins in the IRS under Obama, this should not be tolerated. I'm sure one of out American hating universities will hire her.
"No. No he won't. We'll stop it."

Her name was in the article and that image is from the article.

Had he posted her address or person contact information we would not have allowed it to stay and issued a warn.
I'm simply curious as to what he expects that post to do.
I'm not asking you to lift a finger to change it.

It just want to understand his purpose behind posting it.
My guess would be that via use of the image he hopes his fellow right wingers will spread her story far and wide until some punishment rains down upon her from either "His Orange Eminence" or those doing his bidding.

She expressed a political opinion in the aftermath of the Billy Bush tapes being released. She appears to be a feminist. I don't know that either of those things would prevent her from being able to investigate counterfeiting.

She has quite a few years of service. I think the article said 23 years so she served though the GWB years and was evidently promoted during that time. I don't think we or anyone should be jumping to persecute people for their political beliefs. Investigate it, if it looks like she has compromised her ability to do the protection job then move her.

Had she been smart enough to express her political beliefs on a site like Perspectives instead of Facebook then she probably would not even be in trouble.

As I said in my first post on this topic, she is probably fine doing her job. I were the agent in charge of Trump's security and my detail was going to visit her area of authority I would want her assigned temporarily somewhere else. Of course the need to do that probably means that she has compromised herself as a protection agent which is why I suggested she be moved to another division. We don't need witch hunts for people who were upset by Trump's Billy Bush commentary. We would be hunting 70% of the nation.

I'm not "Edtudo"

We want to make her famous , to get her on the record.

This statement needs to be investigated. Can you imagine her saying that about Obama?

No but it was entirely conceivable that someone else could have and I'm sure it was said but perhaps never reported.

BTW what happened to you post about me "flooding the boards again'? :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

O'Grady is an example of why you shouldn't hire a woman to do a man's job....I suspect she also wouldn't take a bullet for Obama............ :oyvey

When well intended patriots disagree, that's democracy. When POTUS says it's not fact until he approves it, that's tyranny.
