And I stand my my original statement..the cheese is definitely sliding off that boy's cracker.

I think the question in my mind is whether he ever had any cheese to begin with. Remember, Trump is not a normal human. He's spent his entire existence completely insulated by wealth and the kind of weird notoriety his promotional skills bring. He's never had to deal with real people on a basic level and appears mostly to view them as objects to be used and disposed of as needed. Even his wives. He's never needed to be honest - with himself or others - and the more delusional and weird he's acted, the more successful he became. He's basically the unfortunate progeny of America's unholy marriage of idle wealth and vapid celebrity. He has no apparent concept of responsibility, no ability to confront or process unpleasant realities and no sense of self-control - and nothing in his history would seem to suggest he needed to develop any of these things. He even lacks a realistic understanding of the role he now holds. That's why he's still out campaigning and worrying about crowd sizes. He has no conception of how you govern or what that even means. He's never even had what most Americans would recognize as a real job. He's a startlingly simple person.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deepI think he is in the early stages of dementia myself.
Actually, I have...so take your manufactured outrage elsewhere.

Well, I haven't. Well, okay, I have a little bit. But either way, Esto's response was still uncalled for. I don't think Trump has early dementia but it is not inappropriate - given his age and the way he's acting - to ask the question.

He gets all testy when we threaten his tax breaks.

No, like most Trumpers, I think he's in it for the ideology. Too bad. People in it for the money are less dangerous. What we need in this country is a dose of good old-fashioned corruption.

I think he is in the early stages of dementia myself.

I've started to wonder if maybe that's part of the mix. It's possible. But I think the core problem is that Trump is a pretty classic case of narcissistic personality disorder and is probably a sociopath as well. I don't think he's a psychopath like Putin. Ironically, we'd probably be better off if he were psychopathic. Psychopaths are generally smarter, realistic and more skilled. Sometimes, they actually make good leaders.

Sociopaths are less likely to be serial killers but make crappier rulers. Unstable. Erratic. Not as bright. Problems with displaying appropriate social behavior.

Basically, someone in his family or on his staff has to get control of Trump and try to calm him down when he goes bonkers over something. But since Trump doesn't understand anything is wrong, that's gonna be a problem.

Does age play a part in that? Maybe. It may not be dementia. But it is possible that just the natural process of becoming a crusty old fart has exacerbated his already delusional tendencies. Elderhood tends to bring a certain degree of mental inflexibility even if someone isn't senile.
Says two folks that have never lived with dementia.

Go feck yourself - the both of you.
And you wonder why Trumpy's people think he may be a bit off?

There is nothing subtle about Trump’s behavior. He lies, he repeats the lie, and his listeners either cower in fear, stammer in disbelief, or try to see how they can turn the lie to their own benefit. ... The blind, blatant disregard for truth is offered without even the sugar-façade of sweetness of temper or equableness or entertainment—offered not with a sheen of condescending consensus but in an ancient tone of rage, vanity, and vengeance. Trump is pure raging authoritarian id.

What is the next step? Will there be an attack on the healthcare of millions of Americans? Will Trump demolish NAFTA and get the USA kicked out of GATT? Will Mr. Kim launch a nuclear test ICBM? Something is going to be the spark that sets off the simmering fear and anger of the American majority. What then? Will there be mass protests reminiscent of the Vietnam era? Urban riots? The elections of 2018 seem a long way away at this point.

Trump's election was that spark that set off a revolutionary movement supported by most Americans...We can hardly imagine our good fortune in having him as our President...What you speak of are mere counter-revolutionaries still enamored by their customary "more of the same" and helpless against the power of Trump's control of the Senate, House, Supreme Court, and Pentagon....Resistance to Trump is futile...His enemies are mouthy, but weak, liberals who continue to depend on a political correctness (which no longer exists) as their primary weapon...The mechanics of the 2018 are all favorable for the Republicans to increase their power in the Senate....The SCOTUS will inevitably become a temple of conservative belief and interpretation of the Constitution...2020 will bring President Pence....Choke on it...You could be drummed out of your Marxist party for failure to recognize this revolution, which could have been prevented by not nominating Hillary............ :rotflmao:

The Kind of Comedy That Can Hurt Trump http://www.newyorker.com/culture/cultural-comment/the-kind-of-comedy-that-can-hurt-trump

"In the past few days, the phrase has been popping up everywhere. In the sports world, as Deadspin has pointed out, various N.B.A. coaches have been making a version of the same “alternative-fact” joke with reporters. Mike D’Antoni, of the Houston Rockets, when asked why his team had lost five of their past eight games, replied, “Actually we won all those games. I’m going with that alternative-fact thing.” The Dallas Stars hockey team claimed on their scoreboard that attendance at a recent game was 1.5 million. The comedian Ellen DeGeneres, citing alternative facts, bragged that her movie “Finding Dory” was nominated for an Oscar. A pizza chain has begun selling an alternative-fact zero-calorie pizza, with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, and ham. It’s not even a political joke anymore—Jimmy Fallon is making jokes about it. People are mocking not only Conway and Spicer but Trump as well, the man who sent his underlings out with the impossible task of selling the unsellable. The result is a different kind of comedy consensus: the ridicule of the majority. A good joke may have the power to diminish the new Trump Administration, especially if it’s one it unwittingly tells about itself."

It took George W. Bush 3 years to reach a disapproval rating of 50%, Trump has done it in just 8 days!

Only 8 days.....imagine where it will be 8 days from now.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deepI think he is in the early stages of dementia myself.Actually, I have...so take your manufactured outrage elsewhere.
He gets all testy when we threaten his tax breaks.

No, like most Trumpers, I think he's in it for the ideology. Too bad. People in it for the money are less dangerous. What we need in this country is a dose of good old-fashioned corruption.

Esto is supporting Trump in hopes of getting tax breaks and him legally being able to own a silencer
