I think every news source on that page needs to be shifted one half section to the left.

In addition to the universal half section shift:

ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NYT, Wash Post, all need to shift an additional half section left.

BBC is a government controlled news outlet along with NPR. Treat them like Pravda.

If we could separate the news portions of Fox (Shep Smith etc) from the opinion stuff then the news section of FNC would be right in the middle. The opinion stuff would shift to the right a bit.

I could agree with that, with the exception of Occupy Democrats and Addicting Info, neither of which should be used in the same sentence as "news"

***Thanks for the move.

Great chart. Minor changes. Usuncut and Occupy Democrats need to be all the way in the left corner. The Huffington Post is in the right spot ideologically but should be moved much further down the clickbait axis. Slate and Vox should be moved left one notch. CNN and USAToday should be nudged up the vertical scale a bit. Everything else is about right.

This is why you don't ask someone with a bias.

Of course, I should have said someone with a more extreme bias as to suggest everything should be shifted one way or the other, likely due to a lack of ability to accept certain negative truths about their favored side.

I'll reply as I like.

I'd rather see a chart showing which outlets favor the corporate elite vs working class.

at least a half section to the left

and Breitbart is grossly misplaced - they are AT LEAST as credible as HuffPo (any "news" outlet that uses F bombs with regularity and covers a major candidate in the entertainment section is not to be taken seriously)

Fox deserves to be in the center circle at the far right

whoever compiled this list has an obvious liberal outlook/agenda

in a moment of brutal honesty (even here on MFAB) - I have to agree that CNN deserves to be moved up the scale and is not just total "clickbait" - but they also need to be moved 2 spots left

Looks about right to me, but I don't consider myself either liberal or conservative, and tend to follow news in the middle of the chart, and ignore the noise at the extremes.

Nearly all of them are for the neoliberal agenda of more corporate dominance domestically and globally, more unnecessary wars, for net neutrality, and for increases in poverty among U.S. citizens.

Your left bias is almost certainly more extreme than my right bias so I do understand how you would disagree with my assessment.

If I had to guess then I would say the author of this graphic is someone very similar to Two a.m. but maybe a touch farther to the left politically. That would place them to the right of you on the political compass.

I would like to add to my assessment though. Infowars should be removed from the page entirely just as Addicting Info should they are two sides of the same nasty coin.

So, it has been a few years since I took this test and it is not my favorite of these but here is where I stand.

Your Political Compass

Economic Left/Right: -0.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.62

By this test I am now a little more authoritarian and a little less conservative than I used to be. There is a better test out there and I will see if I can find it but this one works as a guideline.

dr345 and others who are curious, why don't you take the test and show us where you stand.

https://www.politicalcompass.org/test

Based on this test, my perspective is not skewed too much so when I say that most of the organizations on the chart at the top of this page need to move a little left I am saying so from a dead center perspective lol.

I found the better test. This test allows for you to be neutral on a question and it allows you to weight each question about how much it matters to you which I thing gives far better results

Here are my results.

I challenge my fellow members to take this test or better yet, both. Let's see how our views are skewed lol.
