Good idea. Mexicans can do all those jobs that Chinese slave laborers aren't willing to.

I would think it a good idea because Mexico is going to need to borrow money from someone so they can pay for that wall that we are going to build.

The Chinese built a very good wall back in the day. They can help the Mexicans with the engineering of the wall that they are going to build for us.

Says the guy living in the metropolis of NYC.
:rotflmao:
In what tangible manner (aside from air quality) is Shangai superior to NYC? People from around the work don't flock for to Shanghai or Hong Kong because they know they will be deported.
And yet you chose NYC.
Who's fault is that?
New York was once American in the afterglow of the 1924 Quota Act.
Who knew that you were a hundred years old?

You don't think they will cover that tariff by raising their prices?

That's how business is transacted.
The cost of doing business gets passed on to the customers. (You know that)

If it isn't sold in the USA, it'll be sold somewhere else.
In the end, if Trump is expecting this to be the pay back for his wall, it's gonna come from the pockets of the consumers of the Mexican goods sold in the USA.

It won't be Mexico paying for any wall and that's the notion that Trump is selling in this bottle of snake oil.

Ps, he will fool a sizable number of people that want to believe that lie.

Silly CT. you really should learn to think these things through. If you'd sit down and really think about it, apply a little simple math you'll find out that raising the price to offset the tariff would result in pricing themselves out of a competitive market. If you'd like I can help you with the math.

LOL, left wing logic would have it that raising the price to offset the tariff will fix everything.

I think you're still confused. Do ya like beans?

Say for example a Mexican company sells a can of beans in the US for 1.00
A comparable US can of beans sells for 1.10
Ok, Trump slaps a 20% tariff on the Mexican beans and they're now 1.20
So now they raise the price of the beans to 1.20 to offset the tariff. 1.40
And now the 20% tariff applies to the new price. The Mexican beans are now 1.44

1.10 vs 1.44 The Mexican's have priced themselves out of the market. Like I told you in the first place. That wouldn't be a very good idea.

It would make good sense for Mexico to reach out and strengthen their relations with China. It would also be good for China to gain stronger influence in North America.

It wouldn't be unprecedented. Cuba was snubbed by the USA and The Soviet Union filled the void.

China and Mexico pledged on Monday to deepen ties at a meeting between their top diplomats following last month's U.S. presidential election victory of Donald Trump, who has tested Washington's relationship with both countries.

The Soviets filled the void? You mean after they nationalized our industries?

How did that relationship work out with the Russians? Cubans living the dream? Why didn't the Russians sell them rafts? Safety first!

I didn't say that it worked out great for either Russia or Cuba.
I said they filled the vacuum

Dunno Drudge, how did the Native Americans feel when they realized they had been screwed by the Europeans and had lost their lands?

Well well well... look here.

See pops, you need to stop listening to these soundbites that called news nowadays. These news reporters as you called them today cannot think outside the box.
