You do know that ISIS/ISIL is in itself an occupying power, and that bombing them risk exposing the Syrian & Iraqi civilian population that are under the thumb of their government?

"Dropping bombs" is the reason there is ISIS. Reagan buggered A-stan, Bush 43 buggered Iraq, Putin destroyed Syria. Every civilian you bomb inspires another terrorist.

Reagan gave cash and weapons to the Mujaheddin

The war in Syria by the US was really against Russia and a continuation of western neocon policy. At this point it is a damned if you do damned if you don't - so the only way forward are safezones and alliances.

Trump is going in the right direction.

You should have listened to Charles Lindbergh and America First Isolationists.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

Huge mistake. Probably was Bush's idea.

The Mujahadeen morphed into Al-Queda when they realized it was just the godless Russians that were their enemy, but the West in general. I mean, it's easy enough to know we didn't think it ahead by encouraging religious fundamentalism in the fighters we used in our proxy war with the Russians over Afghanistan. They did what we wanted, removed the Russians and their proxy puppet regime they had installed.

I agree - so what do you think about Obama's support of the FSA?

I think we would have traded one evil for another, oh, I'm sure the CIA would have sworn that "Oh no Mr. President, we can control these guys". I think the best we can ever hope for in that area is that we arm them until one or the other or both cancel each other out. I think we want Assad out and the FSA is a proxy, one in which our control is virtually nil.

Do you think that civilians are going to stay in Raqqah, ISIS main base of support, if the USA starts using nukes ???....My bet is that ISIS will be all alone there........... :)

The FSA are basically ISIS without the imperialism - they essentially only want to control Syria.
