If you add must speak english and a couple other requirements to that list it might be OK.
They should also be requires to sign an affidavit saying that they agree with the below and if at any point they disagree with the sentiments expressed below then they are subject to deportation.
Quote:
“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
― Theodore Roosevelt
Most of the people that come here integrate themselves into the society in some fashion We have a varied society. There are a lot parts that are different than some others. Go to Appalachia or the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the islands in particular and you'll find lots of people that are different. They have been here for hundreds of years in some cases.
That's the way this country was built. It wasn't built as an English only zone. English wasn't the first language in a great deal of this country.
Operationally, English is the language of this country in the same way that German is the language of Switzerland. If you want to come here and have a job and live, then you need to learn English and I think it should be a prerequisite.
I think you should shed this notion that people come here and arrogantly refuse to learn English
That's thinking through the mind of an American tourist in another country, not what goes on with an immigrant
As an english speaker living in a country where no one near me speaks english, besides my wife, it is the worst thing to be somwhere where you dont understand what everyone is saying
It's isolating, you can't function in the simplest tasks like buying food or asking for directions. You're as dependent on an interpreter as a 2 year old is to their mother. You cant work or socialize, you're constantly in fear of a policeman asking you something because you cant answer him
I had to bust my hump to learn just the basics to get by. Any immigrant or alien who wants to survive in the US knows this

You have obviously never spent much time in Miami or SoCal.
People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would do them harm.

I lived in SCal for five years, I have yet to run into a non-english speaking person there
Not knowing english in the US cuts your chances of making a living by about 80%

That is amazing, I have an Aunt who lives there (outside San Diego) and I have met a number of non-English speakers. In the Miami area of Florida there are entire communities where English is barely spoken.
The funny thing is the Cubans are not the one's who refuse to use English usually. For the most part they have been very good citizens and joined the USA as immigrants throughout history have. No, it is the various other immigrant groups down that way who are problematic. Heck, I once went into an Ace Hardware around Miami and I literally had to find someone in the store (it took 3 or 4 tries) who spoke English well enough to find the tool I was trying to buy from them. That of course was a decade or so ago. I imagine it is worse now.
Since that time I have worked on Spanish just so I can understand what the people around me are saying when I am down there.
As I said, prior to reading his commentary and then having my own conversations with other guys deployed over there I may change my opinion. At this point, I am not sure how temporary I want this ban to be. The order is for 90 days but after that, I think that maybe our visa requirements for people from these nations need to be ridiculously difficult to achieve.
Americans should walk away and no longer be deployed to the Middle East.
You want to withdraw military presence is fine but are you suggesting total disengagement in that region?

OK, so how many of the thousands of Iraqi immigrants and visa holders who have come to the US have actually attacked any Americans or beheaded them?
I'll give you the answer - NONE
That steroid pumped redneck dirtbag on that video probably just hates arabs and calls them sandxxxxs and made up that story about ''talking to the locals''
Dont be so gullible
What Middle Eastern Muslims lack in severed heads, they make up for with hate in their hearts for America.........

Update to the OP....
Only 16 hours after posting this video, Gern was forced to evacuate.
In a follow up video that Gern made on Sunday, Gern says, “If what I said wasn’t 100% true, why in the world would it be so important to get me removed from this country 16 hours after that video was posted?” asks Gern. “Seriously guys – think about it. See y’all back in the States here real soon.”
Only liberals can choose not to go down the road to widespread, systematic violence.
If liberals wouldn't mind a Muslim refugee living next door to them, they should be okay with a non-rehabilitated murderer living next door, even one who approves of beheading and sex slaves........
Jesus can raise the dead, but he can't fix stupid
