If old Trumpy doesn't give you whiplash, no one will! Trump Embraces Pillars of Obama’s Foreign Policy; https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/02/world/middleeast/iran-missile-test-trump.html "President Trump, after promising a radical break with the foreign policy of Barack Obama, is embracing some key pillars of the former administration’s strategy, including warning Israel to curb settlement construction, demanding that Russia withdraw from Crimea and threatening Iran with sanctions for ballistic missile tests. In the most startling shift, the White House issued an unexpected statement appealing to the Israeli government not to expand the construction of Jewish settlements beyond their current borders in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Such expansion, it said, “may not be helpful in achieving” the goal of peace. At the United Nations, Ambassador Nikki R. Haley declared that the United States would not lift sanctions against Russia until it stopped destabilizing Ukraine and pulled troops out of Crimea." |

Exactly and that's why so many in the foreign policy establishment have opposed him both overtly and now covertly.

I would absolutely disagree that Obama's foreign policy was a disaster, especially in the last term. Trumps public pronouncements were uniformed and dangerous. It is good to see that he must be listening to someone with knowledge and moderating his stances. I am concerned he has surrounded himself with dangerous people that if he listens to will get us into another war. |

Yup and here it is another humiliating about face: China Hangs Tough. Trump Folds. China Ups the Ante. http://thebea.st/2kawPNu "After months of calling into question the ‘One China’ policy that acknowledges the mainland’s claim on Taiwan, Trump has made a humiliating about-face."

I waited all morning for the Trump - Abe presser and one things for sure, Trump lacks the public speaking poise, fluidity and oratorical skills that Obama presented so well. Trumps performance in front of the Japanese P.M. was halting, choppy and he read from a piece of paper. Obviously he hadn't prepped for the occasion! |

To date he's accomplished one thing for sure, he's effectively pissed off some of America's preeminent heroes, BRAVO TRUMPY! Donald Trump, who never served in the military, goes after Senate veterans; http://cnn.it/2k7D7Oh "The decision to take on veterans could put Trump on shaky ground: The President never served in the military and received student and health deferments that kept him out of serving in the war. In a string of tweets on Thursday morning, Trump took on McCain for suggesting his first military action -- a raid in Yemen that netted intelligence against ISIS, but cost the lives Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer William "Ryan" Owens and a number of Yemeni civilians -- was not a success. Trump also lashed out against Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, who told reporters on Wednesday that Neil Gorsuch, Trump's Supreme Court pick, told him that he felt Trump's comments about the judiciary branch were "demoralizing" and "disheartening." Trump's tweets appear to be an attempt to quiet dissent, even from those within his party." |
