The Spy Revolt Against Trump Begins; ntelligence Community pushes back against a White House it considers leaky, untruthful and penetrated by the Kremlin

In a recent column, I explained how the still-forming Trump administration is already doing serious harm to America’s longstanding global intelligence partnerships. In particular, fears that the White House is too friendly to Moscow are causing close allies to curtail some of their espionage relationships with Washington—a development with grave implications for international security, particularly in the all-important realm of counterterrorism.

Now those concerns are causing problems much closer to home—in fact, inside the Beltway itself. Our Intelligence Community is so worried by the unprecedented problems of the Trump administration—not only do senior officials possess troubling ties to the Kremlin, there are nagging questions about basic competence regarding Team Trump—that it is beginning to withhold intelligence from a White House which our spies do not trust.

What kind of intelligence have the agencies produced ????

WMD by Saddam
Deposing Gadhafi to get anarchy in Libya
Red line on Syria when the rebels used the chemical weapons
Supporting "moderate" rebels
Taking years to find Bin Laden
Supporting organized crime to be the Ukraine government
Preventing North Korea from developing nuclear weapons
Finding manmade sand islands in the South China sea to be a major threat to the USA
Failure to stop terrorist attacks in the USA even after interviewing the suspects

When our intelligence agencies feel they can decide what to share with the president and what not to it's a sure sign there needs to be an immediate purge starting at the top. Face it, Washington is infested with liberal traitors. Fire them all and take away their pensions

If the Intel they have concerns Russian interests or actions, and if you're an analyst and you know some of Trump's administration if not President Trump himself have ties to Putin directly if not indirectly to the Russian Federation, would you be so sure you could give such info without the risk of it being turned over to the Russians?

Trump will be left with no one but "Yes Men" there PA, just like any CEO out there.

WTF is this BS about Ties to Putin?!?!

What ties could Trump possibly have to Putin that would be so damaging? In the 50's we were worried about the expansion of Communism and the leaking of nuclear technology and intelligence. Do we need to worry about those things today with Trump? Do we think he's going to turn the US into a commie state? Are we worried about the Soviet Union developing nukes or ICBM's...oops too late.

So enough with the vague "Trump has ties to Russia" BS...we're not worried about going to war with them nor are we worried about losing a technological edge per se...so what exactly is so damned scary about Putin?

Donald Trump is Barack Obama's President!

I have ties to Russia (Katsap)....We have regular communication, he has suggested I try Russian women, and he even invited me to defect to his Mother Russia to escape the heat in Phoenix....During the Joe McCarthy era, I would be called before the Un-American Activities Committee....Today it is no worse than having ties with France........... :oyvey

I'm merely bringing up a hypothetical...I, not being an intelligence analyst or operative for DHS, CIA, NSA FBI, or DIA am not privy to any such activity...I'm merely positing why someone could be hesitant to discuss any intelligence in their alleged belief such Intel could be compromised if told to Trump's administration

Our intelligence community is made up of mostly conservative republicans. You should be able to figure that out from the fact the FBI was in near revolt over Hillary's candidacy, with resignations piling up on Comey's desk. Because many in the bureau feared Comey was going soft on Hillary, which was untrue. So Comey caved under intense pressure and directly affected the election by appearing before congress a week before the general election to chastise Hillary's handling of classified material, which was in direct conflict with dept. policy.

Then congress turns around and ignores Flynn intentionally selling out Pence. Now, what were you saying about Firing them all and taking away their pensions?

The problem for congress now is some conservative republicans in our intelligence community are actually patriotic and believe in our nations laws.

Which means, the GOP is in deep trouble. :usa:
