Uh, yeah. No he didn't. Do you know why? Because it requires legislation to be passed to expand those powers. And Congress made completely freaking sure that pretty much no legislation got passed during the Obama administration beyond the bare minimum to keep the lights on. If we want to look to when the NSA was given "broad new powers", we have to look back to the Bush administration and the Patriot Act and associated legislation. |

Obama gave law enforcement agency more power when he renewed the Patriot Act. I don't hear leftists crying about it. |
