Quoting limited to 5 levels deep"Assad uses a chemical munition to kill less than 100 people "

Proof? Evidence? Anything?
The US tracked the planes that were used in the attack.
provide proof.
Sorry, I have to go on the word of the U.S. military on this one. I do not possess the technology to track aircraft in Syria though it would be cool to have such toys.
No Commercial Air Traffic over Lebanon, Iraq
or Syria as we speak

Watching stupid people discover the obvious is a standard routine for circus clowns. Donald Trump has discovered that healthcare is complicated. New he is figuring out that Russia is not an American partner. Here on US.com we see a junior varsity version of the same pathetic farce as our alt-right neo-cons slowly come toe the realization that everything which they have vaunted about America and the world for all their lives is nonsense.

It will be some time before the realization and its implications finally sink in. Most of them will never get that far.

Word is Ivanka stormed into the oval office with her i-pad, showed daddy the videos of the Syrian gas attack and told him he needs to do something about this. So, he did, after he claimed he had no idea Assad was gassing his people, likely so Ivanka wouldn't think her dad is totally stupid and devoid of reality.

This is also why Trump's response was extraordinary weak give his claimed outrage, with the base back in operation hours later, so as not to upset the Russians. Who Trump fears almost as much as his daughter.

Trump didn't want the new bill to pass. He can say he tried and Obamacare will fail all on it's own. Genius!

Trump hit a nearly abandoned airbase. With Russian and Syrian approval. The Left is now off his back! Genius!

Using your logic.. :drinking:

It sounds like the Liar in Chief is more concerned with helping Russian and Syria continue the bombing than he is about saving Syrian children from the Assad the 'butcher.' Just think, Trump, spend over 60 million dollars on cruise missiles, just so he could warm Assad they were coming, and you think he's a genius.

No wonder the GED crowd loves him, they think he's a genius. Perhaps he is compared to his constituents.

Russian/Putin and Assad are fight ISIS and Rebels within Syria that are fighting the legitimate government there.

It's an internal matter. Why do you feel compelled to get involved?

Liberals like Obama extended the civil war in Syria by supporting some thugs with money, arms, and training to fight other thugs....I can't imagine how many children have been killed or orphaned in that process....Warfare is now Syria's primary industry...You can't do that without help from outsiders........... :oyvey

I'm probably having a memory lapse but, in your opinion, how exactly did the isolationism of the US lead to WW1 and WW2? I've an idea what you might argue but I'd rather get it straight from you.
I hope he will respond, that would be interesting.

I might take a contrary position to keep things lively. One could argue that more isolationism might have prevented WW1, since it was triggered by fairly minor incidents, but brought the super-powers of the period into conflict because of alliances and a proxy war in a fairly unimportant but highly contested area. That's not unlike today.

Another case could be made that if the US hadn't intervened, WW1 might have had a different outcome, one which could have prevented WW2. Had Germany not been so soundly defeated and not had such harsh terms imposed by the Treaty of Versailles, the discontent and humiliation that Hitler exploited to take power might never have occurred. Speculative of course, but I think that a stronger, less angry Germany would have been unwilling to embrace radicalism and not eager to lash out at France and Russia. Hitler made them feel like "winners" after losing WW1. Would an Autstiran / German dominated early 20th century Europe have been so bad? Perhaps a worthwhile price if it prevented Nazis, WW2 and the holocaust? If Germany had remained stable, and WW2 not taken place, would there have been a cold war? The USSR wouldn't have been handed eastern Europe. Or would those conflicts have happened anyway, because nationalism, not globalism, is the real problem?

Obviously these kinds of alternative histories can turn into "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin". We can't really know, but I think "what if the US had stayed out of WW1" is an especially intriguing hypothetical.

Quoting limited to 5 levels deep
We helped to create the problems the ME present the world.
It's a global problem and this country has been a global country since at least WWII.

Before that we were formed as a global country.... so...there it is...
It's time to return our isolationist roots.
That led to WWI and WWII...

You still haven't learned from history have you?

You want to keep making the same mistakes it seems...

I'm probably having a memory lapse but, in your opinion, how exactly did the isolationism of the US lead to WW1 and WW2? I've an idea what you might argue but I'd rather get it straight from you.

Cheers.
True, isolationism didn't lead to WW1 or WW2 , Europe did that all by themselves.
Both Presidents at the time had to juggle isolationism with intervention.
It was all a matter of when we were going to get dragged into it.
Russia, Syria and Iran are rattling swords at the moment because they know that Trump does not want to put anymore ground troops in.

Trump has just played the unpredictable card :hooray:
Warning....Leftist's Post Here....Take Precautions
