US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has arrived in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss Syria with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. The visit comes as recent US strikes on a Syrian base were followed by hints of sanctioning Russia for supporting Assad.

I suspect that Tillerson will receive a list of demands from the Kremlin and some butthurt....Russia wants us to stop helping NAZIs in Ukraine and "moderate" Al Qaeda rebels in Syria....A lack of cooperation could result in a no fly zone for US aircraft in Syrian airspace and Syrian attacks on uninvited US troops in Syria.....Russia could also punish Ukraine economically............ :shakeshead:

Putin won't meet Tillerson, and it's 50-50 he won't meet Trump either, and why should he? Putin hates being lied too, and the British, except for PM May, hate his guts.

Besides if Vlad meets Trump, he may well be seen at home as appeasing a war monger, as if Republicans have any foreign policy credibility. Or any credibility at all for that matter.

Don't imagine too much. It's Western style to announce isolation to later give it up :), and meeting "evil" Putin is a shame for both Tillerson and Trump, not the opposite, for Putin it's demonstration that he prevailed. Besides, Trump's policy is not clear, he changes his approach several times a day while it's quite important to understand him, so I bet Putin will meet Tillerson.

This wouldn't be the first time a US President was pawned by Saudi Arabia....The Saudis once convinced Bush that they had nothing to do with 9/11....We should send those bastards the bill for 60 cruise missiles and then cut off diplomatic relations with them........

Why not? The US is simply doing what Russia does best. How many versions were given by Russia about Ukraine and down airplane?

Look, Russia is shocked just as leftists are after seeing an American president who has more actions than words. China suddenly stfu. Did you notice?

Even Putin has more credibility than Trump, maybe that's why the FBI has his administration under a microscope.

Investigate this Putin's sympathiser for ties to FSB!!!
I would also suspect Russian interference into anti-Trump campaign - it becomes so ridiculous that definitely it's Putin's fault, not of Anericans!

U.S.-Russia relations at another low after Syria attacks

The presidents of the United States and Russia on Wednesday both presented souring views of the relationship between their two countries, exchanging sharp words as Moscow extended an icy welcome to the United States' top diplomat in a face-off over Syria.

Syria war: Anger after Russia vetoes resolution at UN
Quote:

Russia has vetoed a draft resolution at the UN Security Council that would have condemned last week's alleged chemical attack in Syria and demanded that Damascus cooperate with investigators.

The resolution was presented by the US, UK and France, who reacted angrily to Russia's decision.

It was the eighth time Russia has protected its ally at the council.
