Helsinki to host hub aimed at curbing cyber warfare threats The Finnish capital Helsinki is to host a new centre to combat what officials describe as an increase in hybrid warfare threats. The Helsinki centre will be a joint venture involving 10 other countries including the US, Germany and Sweden, among others." ... ... The aim of the Helsinki hybrid centre will be to increase EU members’ awareness of and resistance to hybrid threats and their ability to combat them, and identify the players behind them. Another goal is to enhance cooperation with NATO organs that specialise in countering hybrid warfare threats. ... |

Siberian will probably continue his claims that western nations are paranoid about Russian cyber attacks, while there are clear and non-hidden evidence (without even hint of trying to hide them) about Russia's involvement.

Jar, call everything its real nanes - CIA created another espionage and sabotage center involving on the wave of histeria previously neutral Finland. Just like milirary, intelligence services move their infrastructure cliser to Russian border. It will have a cost for Finland, I'm convinced neutral status is one of the reasons for recent high level of life, it will bot remain. As well Russia will not forgive and forget this hostile activity, it will have a cost in this regard too. I would not be surprised if Finland next hosts some training centers for Islamist Chechens or something... Edited by Siberian, Apr 13 2017, 12:41 AM.

Hacking wars, even if we admit there's any Russian effort in this regard - have no borders and geographic proximity does not matter here. The only purpose of this center specifically in Finland is not resisting Russian mythical hacking or something but to drug neutral Finland into anti-Russian alliance. Jar, learn Russian history - the best way to become part of Russia is to be hostile to us and to participate in anti-Russian activity ![]() Kazan Tatar raids, Crimean Tatar raids, Polish invasion, Swedish invasion (after which Swedish province Finland became part of Russia) etc. - all led to elimination of these threats via expansion of Russia. Now a nazi anti-Russian coup in Ukraine cannot lead to anything but inclusion of Ukraine back into Russia, such a threat cannot exist at our border, we're serious about our security, taking in account our History. Ukraine had and maybe still has a chance to exist - as some sort of Russian Canada, but they are working hard to get back to Russia, despite all Putin's efforts to push them away... :). Finns seem to evolve from cows rather than apes since they never learn... If you want to be anti-Russian - start learning Russian Try to comprehend this, as an expert on Russia.

To you, everything involving the EU as a global operator and a force is a "victim of the USA". I know already its pretty useless to give any real and valid information to you regarding the subject but I'll give it a try. As I've already mentioned many times earlier that we have every single day these propagandists trying to spread "the news from Russian perspective" but which are not able to withstand closer investigations where democratic values are respected. Some other publications regarding this centre and its purpose: http://www.helsinkitimes.fi/finland/finland-news/domestic/14686-eu-s-hybrid-threat-centre-to-be-set-up-in-helsinki.html : "The EU has taken determined steps to improve its readiness to respond to hybrid threats since adopting the joint framework for countering hybrid threats in mid-2016. The EU Intelligence and Situation Centre features a cell focusing on analysing the external aspects of hybrid threats, the EU Hybrid Fusion Cell. The EU has also taken steps in strategic communication, infrastructure protection, energy security and other fields relevant to enhancing its resilience to hybrid threats." https://eandt.theiet.org/content/articles/2017/04/hybrid-threat-centre-to-be-built-in-finland-to-counter-fake-news/ : " ... In recent years, the Nordic and Baltic countries have been increasingly concerned over what have been described as ‘hybrid threats’ - disinformation campaigns and systematic spreading of fake news, including by the Russian government. In October 2015, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö warned of the “information warfare” that was already affecting Finns, and last year, the EU and NATO pledged at a summit in Warsaw to increase cooperation in the areas of cyber defence and countering hybrid threats. ... The spread of fake news through social media – which some commentators suggest contributed towards the election of US President Donald Trump last year – has prompted more research focusing on how we use, understand and consume social media. A study from Penn State University and King’s College London, for instance, recently reported that social media users often adopt different personas, or ‘(social) hats’ unique to each different social network." ---- As I'm also involved partially in cyber security issues in my daily job, I receive those type of news about practically every day. Some latest public news of these which also Finland has been a target of: https://www2.fireeye.com/rs/848-DID-242/images/APT28-Center-of-Storm-2017.pdf http://securityaffairs.co/wordpress/57781/apt/operation-cloud-hopper-apt10.html (Not involving Russia, btw...) |

Jar, stop reposting Western propaganda nonsense. Give me a single example of fake news spread by RT. It eon't be difficult if it's such a threat the West even creates a center to counter it. As well - as more Russians speak English and fue to spread if internet - some of them notice bs you're used to in your Western press and may wish to expose your lie in social media. Take me as an example - I posted numerous RT articles exposibg Western press lie, I myself in my own writing exposed numerous Western lie (the last one - of George Allugator, which clained there's decades long history of Assad use of chemical weapobs - obviously taken from Western press), I have proposed many times to give a single example it or I lied. Stop being a zombie, try to think and write yourself. |

So basically, you don't keep your phone and/or PC updated with latest published security fixes, right? So also, you won't download any pdf files at all, right? |

... news which are not able to withstand closer investigations where democratic values are respected. This includes the current US government as well, you know, as it did with G.W.Bush era also (which was the reason I started to write on this forum). |
