The Last Country America "Liberated" From An "Evil" Dictator Is Now Openly Trading Slaves

It is widely known that the U.S.-led NATO intervention to topple Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 resulted in a power vacuum that has allowed terror groups like ISIS to gain a foothold in the country.

Despite the destructive consequences of the 2011 invasion, the West is currently taking a similar trajectory with regard to Syria. Just as the Obama administration excoriated Gaddafi in 2011, highlighting his human rights abuses and insisting he must be removed from power to protect the Libyan people, the Trump administration is now pointing to the repressive policies of Bashar al-Assad in Syria and warning his regime will soon come to an end — all in the name of protecting Syrian civilians.

See what happens when that Moozlem sympathizer Obamo listens to pentagon brass, imagine those silly generals and admirals thinking they could abolish a practice that's flourished in different Muslim countries at different times for over 1,200 years.

Which just goes to show a West Point or Annapolis education ain't what it use to be.

Siberian, your source is pathetic, it's full of half-truths and innuendoes.

I forgot to mention just because Kadafi became pals with Ronald Reagan doesn't mean President Obama was going to play the same games. Also, just to set the record straight, slave markets in Lybia also flourished during the Reagan and Bush administrations.

I have been following it closely, to credit of American military then US minister of defence was resisting operation in Libya for quite long, I forgot his name, something funny - Ozzi Osborn, or John Malkovich or George Michael , I mean the same of some celebrity... It was absolutely a political decision. MSM was crying loud of brutal suppressuon of people by Kaddafi, bombing of demonstratuons etc. I.e. approximately Trum's situation with Russiagate... :)
And Zerohedge is great, of course it has certain incline in politics - not bigger than of MSM, just in opposite direction. And they are absolutely superior in economy.
By the way, one of reasons Kaddafi was unpopular was that he was pan-Africanist, he abolished visas for Africans, hundreds of thousands of Black Africans were coming to Libya to work or sail further to Europe. In the middle of the way between Tripoli and Tunisia there was a small city of Zuwara, if I remember correctly the name, the city of illegal human smugglers, there were plenty of big boats being built there in the area, visible from the highway...
There was even a riot of Libyans against Black immigrants, a couple of hundreds of them were killed. But no slavery, of course, you are absolutely ignorant, as usual.

p.s. Gates!!!!

Exclusive: Armed group stopping migrant boats leaving Libya
Quote:

TUNIS/ROME (Reuters) - An armed group is stopping migrant boats from setting off across the Mediterranean from a city west of Tripoli that has been a springboard for people smugglers, causing a sudden drop in departures over the past month, sources in the area said.

The revelation throws new light on the sharp reduction in migrant arrivals from Italy, which took over from the Aegean route as the main focus of European concerns in the crisis.
