General Motors says Venezuela illegally seizes auto plant
Reuters - 4/20/17

CARACAS (Reuters) - General Motors said on Wednesday that Venezuelan authorities had illegally seized its plant in the industrial hub of Valencia and vowed to "take all legal actions" to defend its rights.

The seizure comes amid a deepening economic crisis in leftist-led Venezuela that has already roiled many U.S. companies.

"Yesterday, GMV's (General Motors Venezolana) plant was unexpectedly taken by the public authorities, preventing normal operations. In addition, other assets of the company, such as vehicles, have been illegally taken from its facilities," the company said in a statement.

Damn, these leftists are stupid. They haven't learned anything from Robert Mugabe.
Kate Steinle was separated from her family permanently but leftists didn't seem to mind.

The Venezuelan tragedy holds nothing good in store for the USA. The Chavez-Maduro team has mishandled what was a highly volatile clash of rising revolutionary expectations on the part of Venezuela's poor with the sharp drop in international oil prices, the nation's chief source of revenue.

The US did little to help the situation, put off by domestic pressure against the flamboyant posturing of Hugo Chavez. Venezuela's recovery will be long and hard. The regime that emerges from the crisis will less than friendly to the USA. Both sides lose.
