Sorondo is the guy in the middle..

Climate change ideology continues to be contested as a ploy perpetrated with manipulated data by the left to enact environmental regulations and taxes.

Even so, Archbishop Sorondo dismissed deniers of climate change in a recent Vatican Radio interview as “a small, negligible minority.”

The interview conducted in German contained the headline: “Vatican: ‘Climate change is a fact,’” and centered on reception of Pope Francis’ eco-encyclical Laudato Si’ two years after its release.

Archbishop Sorondo went on in the interview to say that human-affected climate change was considered science. He added that the pope not only has the right but also the duty to rely on science in addition to doctrine and philosophy in seeking out truth.

If the pope expresses himself on such a subject, then this was not arbitrary, he said, as the pope’s words are not restricted to the area of ”doctrine of faith and morals.”

The pope makes use of the truths of science or philosophy to not only explain to man how to get to heaven, said the archbishop, but also what he must do on earth.

All human activities have to do with ethics, the Argentinean archbishop said, so they are already within the jurisdiction of the pope.

Archbishop Sorondo is a close adviser to Pope Francis and the Chancellor of both the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. He has repeatedly welcomed pro-abortion and population control advocates to the Vatican for conferences under the pretext of the climate issue.

All of us are in shock as to what has become of the Catholic Church, a strange, left-wing Pope issuing bizarre directives from the Vatican. Wow, has the world changed.

" ....Under Pope Francis, the church has abandoned many of its bedrock positions on issues like divorce and homosexuality in favor of a “why not?” attitude. Francis has scolded people for being rich, sided with illegal immigrants, and suggested the church should be a refuge for the poor.

He has sidelined conservative cardinals, installed like-minded allies in key jobs, taken personal control of the Knights of Malta for defying him, and generally sent the signal that behind his amiable smile and humble talk lurks a radically liberal agenda.

The latest example of the pope’s blueprint for the future is contained in an article penned by two of his closest confidantes. They believe that conservative Catholics in the United States have formed a coalition with Evangelical Protestants to push Donald Trump’s agenda, which the authors call a “Manichean vision.” The article, in the Jesuit publication La Civiltà Cattolica, could not have been printed without Francis’s knowledge and approval. ..."

Evangelical Trump supporters want meeting with Pope Francis
Quote:

NEW YORK (AP) — Evangelical supporters of President Donald Trump on Monday requested a meeting with Pope Francis over a recent critical article in a Vatican-vetted journal.

Johnnie Moore, a leader of Trump’s evangelical advisory board and a spokesman for some of its members, said he sent the request to Rome in response to an article published last month that accused some American Catholics of building an alliance of “hate” with evangelicals who backed the president.

The former White House press secretary attended an audience with Pope Francis Sunday as part of an annual meeting of the International Catholic Legislators Network, Vatican spokesman Greg Burke confirmed Tuesday.

Fire and Fury? ...Er, over what?

Who the 'f' cares what Chris Hedges thinks about, ....anything? He is a typical 'far' left-wing loon, an avowed Marxist and a certified idiot on most matters.

And stop with the 'Abby Martin' nonsense. This Telesur screwball should be forced to live in a Venezuelan jail cell.

The latest from Eco Watch....

Pope Francis to World Leaders: 'Listen to the Cry of the Earth'
Pope Francis, who has a strong belief in the science of climate change, called upon world leaders on Wednesday to "listen to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor, who suffer most because of the unbalanced ecology."

Francis and Patriarch Bartholomew I, the head of the Orthodox Christian Church, will issue a joint message to commemorate the annual "World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation" on Friday, the Associated Press reported.

In 2015, the Pope designated Sept. 1 as "a precious opportunity to renew our personal participation in this vocation as custodians of creation," framing the preservation of the environment as a moral responsibility.

Cry of the earth? Where? Where? This Pope is a loon.

The "crying of the poor" is as a direct result of authoritarian regimes such as Venezuela, which happen to be Spanish-speaking and whose economic misfortunes this lunatic Pope knows NOTHING about. His silence on Maduro is appalling. Shocking. Perhaps this ill-educated Pope should focus on bringing democracy back to Venezuela, ...first. Afterwards he may concentrate on how non-democratic regimes of the world are destroying the earth and causing the poor to cry. But, he'll first need to read a book on economics. This guy is the very definition of befuddlement.

Global warming is his number 1 concern? Wow. Perhaps the Book of Revelations was right, ...and THIS Pope is the incarnation of the promised "Anti-Christ?"
This guy is weird.

Pope Francis has revealed, for the first time, that he sought help from a psychoanalyst when he was younger.

In a new book, he says that at the age of 42 – long before he was elected Pope - he saw an analyst in his native Argentina for six months.
