They probably already have enough to bring articles of impeachment to the floor. They might be looking at a situation where they think have enough to lock him up for a long time if they keep looking.
A simple resignation may not be enough to save him from Leavenworth.
Well, there this problem called party loyalty over loyalty to the law and the nation

What they don't have is enough votes to override the Speaker's blocking any such charges. Getting those votes will depend less on the evidence than the calculated political self interest of individual representatives, all of whom are up for reelection in 2018. That is a life-or-death calculation for every politician in the House. "Will my folks back home like it if I move to impeach Trump?" That is a pretty simple question for Democrats. For Republican reps the situation is not so simple but things are getting clearer.

and when did that happen Matlock? Stop being vague and present the evidence that nobody else including the feds seem to have.
When Trump admitted so, Curly
Where? Source it comrade - right here.
Did Trump demand loyalty from Comey, yes or no?

And did Trump do a 180 and admit that he was thinking about Russia and the investigation when he decided to fire Comey, yes or no?

The answers: Yes on both

Obstruction of justice
The actual words coming from the mouth of the President himself is not proof to his fan base.

They need to... what do they need? :dunno:

You mean the investigations by Republicans who were trying to get Obama and still couldn't find anything? Those investigations.

You still can't admit that after all those investigations that just maybe there was nothing to the allegations.

As to the swamp, seems to be filling up every day ...

Despite all the evidence of reckless use of smart phones and E-mails in which Hillary endangered national secrets being proven by the FBI, Comey let her off the hook for her crimes because he thought Hillary was going to win the election.....Yes, that swamp (and others)........ :booboo:

I have no doubt that liberals are investigating Trump...Trying to pin something on him, anything to reverse the lawful election where Democrats were defeated...Poor losers..........
To borrow from Republicans, if he's done nothing wrong he has nothing to fear...
Rubbish, You have got to be joking?
"if he's done nothing wrong he has nothing to fear..."????
The MSM and you hypocritical lib/lefties would still not give him a fair go. :moon:

A fair go? We gave him far more of a chance than Republicans ever gave Obama.
I voted for Obama.

There is a saying, "When you find yourself in a swamp and up to your ass battling alligators you tend to forget that your original intention was to drain the swamp." In time the Russia story will go the way of the Carrier Pigeon and the Dodo bird. Going, going..... :headexplode: gone!

How long will the Democratic Party keep trotting out "the Russians," with virtually no evidence, as a political platform?

It's so stupid, so silly and so futile? The Russians? Please...

I've never like Wikileaks and there is no way you can verify whether what they are releasing is accurate or not.
Hillary and crew admitted to the veracity of the wikileaks emails by trying to shift the blame onto the Russians - as opposed to denying the content.

Wikileaks prides itself on the authenticity of its leaks - and if only one piece of material out of the hundreds of thousands released was proven inaccurate - the entire organization would be discredited. Hence their due diligence vetting the material. Until it is proven inaccurate - I trust that it is 100% accurate.

and by the way - that includes information released on Donald Trump.
Both Podesta and the DNC had said some of the emails released where false.

Donna Brazile also said they were fake - until she later admitted that they were true. That was a dangerous path - because confirmation down the road was/is very likely.

And the Russians did release the material to Wikileaks and Wikileaks continues to participate in the Kremlin's activities.

You have zero evidence of this - it more likely that it was Seth Rich who leaked the emails, or a 10 year old that figured out Podesta's "Obama08" password - which he was told to change - twice.

CT you have no proof Trump/Russia collusion. There is none because there is no "it" there. They even tried to blackmail/bribe and actual Russian hacker into admitting falsely that he did it.

WHY WOULD THEY HAVE DO THAT IF THEY HAD ACTUAL PROOF? :oyvey

There has been no offer of proof because, so far, there has been no one to offer it to. Republicans have stalled and sabotaged all investigation, giving rise to the "where's the proof?" nonsense. Now that subpoenas are out, we approaching the next phase in which there will be someone, a special prosecutor most likely, to whom evidence of collusion can be submitted. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed.
