White House Runs Away From Fox News

‘‘Fox News Sunday’’ host Chris Wallace opened his show this week by highlighting who was not on his guest list.

As President Trump’s decision to abruptly fire FBI director James B. Comey continues to dominate the news, Wallace said he wanted to feature a White House official ‘‘to explain the president’s reasoning and to discuss the fallout.’’ Wallace said that on Saturday morning, the White House announced it would not make anyone available to discuss that topic — but did offer to book senior officials to talk about the president’s upcoming foreign trip.

‘‘When we said we were going to focus on Comey for at least the first half-hour of this program, they put those officials on other shows,’’ Wallace said.

Trump's statement on his firing Comey is evidence of misprison of treason. Happy now?
What statement?
Contrary to everything the White House, including Vice President Mike Pence, had said about Comey’s firing, Trump inexplicably confessed to NBC News’ Lester Holt that he fired Comey because he wanted the Russia scandal to end — which, of course, screams out obstruction of justice. Trump said to Holt, “And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said, ‘You know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won.'

Remember that lawsuit that the judges are pushing because Trump told security to eject brown-shirt Leftist hecklers? How is that coming along?
Another Nazi reference?

I thought you don't support those.

That's not going to satisfy Estonianman. Not an actual confession from the mouth of the man himself.

Its a game of ignorance he likes to play.

Oh my God and Goddess, I hope he's playing.

NEWSFLASH: Forensic examination of the tape of Trump's interview with Holt has revealed additional evidence that was apparently removed before the program aired. What viewers originally heard was Trump saying:

“And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said, 'you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won.'”

In the digitally restored tape Trump is heard to say:

“And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said, 'you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won.' I better fire that nosey son-of-a-bitch before he stumbles across something that could get me impeached!"

Asked when he planned to formally release the amended version of Trump's remarks, Mr. Holt said he was waiting for a ruling from his counsel, Mr. Estonianman.

He is absolutely right - the democrats made up the Russia thing to cope with a losing election.

The only ignorance is that of the democrats who remain in denial about the real reasons they lost the election + 1000 federal and state seats in the last 8 years.

How long will the Democratic Party keep trotting out "the Russians," with virtually no evidence, as a political platform?

It's so stupid, so silly and so futile? The Russians? Please...

I could see the pain on Lester Holt's face every time Trump did not answer the questions like Lester hoped Trump would....Lester so wanted to be the guy who killed the Trump Presidency....If you rerun the video, you can see it yourself if you only watch Lester's face................

A few further thoughts here....

What is remarkable here is that our liberal friends here on Perspectives haven't yet figured-out why this is a DANGEROUS news story, especially for Democrats. Now, first, I am assuming that this is NOT true, i.e. the fact that this mysteriously killed DNC staffer was NOT the source of the Wikileaks disclosures. Were this to be even REMOTELY true, the scandal here would be humongous, beyond belief. Why?

This DNC staffer was killed last July in a very posh, and wealthy Washington D.C. suburb for no apparent reason. No wallet taken, no personal items. Next, the police investigating this murder would have known within weeks whether or not he had contacts with Wikileaks. The FBI would have known as well. Comey would have known. It appears that the FBI came to the conclusion that he was NOT the guy providing Wikileaks with those very damning Hillary emails. Now, here's the real point....

If there were just the remotest possibility that he WAS the guy, OM f'ing God...! This would be a bombshell of biblical proportions.

Here the FBI, and certain members of the DC Police force knew this to be true, but allowed the Democratic Party to go on and on and on about Russian collusion of the 2016 elections without a "shred of evidence." Meanwhile, there was "real evidence" that this guy was IN FACT in contact with Wikileaks.

See the point? Wow.

Mozart. Try to stick to the topic.
It is about Trump and Russian connections that he has
And that is a problem that will not slink away

Why you silly goose...

This is precisely on topic and on target....!

You can bet that this incident last year will be among the most closely analyzed stories dealing in political intrigue for the next 50 years. A DNC staffer killed on the streets of DC, coming from a bar, for NO apparent reason. OMG. The conspiracy theorists are gonna go nuts on this one. No stone will be left un-turned. High drama. Weirdo's coming out of the woodwork. Books written, nonsense spewed. It will easily surpass the "grassy-knollers" of the Kennedy assassination. The liberals still don't see it. Just watch.

Again, the FBI must have concluded that he was not the guy sending stuff to Wikileaks. I hope. One cannot believe that they wouldn't have said something. Were this to be even REMOTELY true, that this DNC staffer lying dead in the streets of DC was in cahoots with Wikileaks, all hell is about to break lose....

Also, it was probably COMPLETELY unexpected that a Republican, especially the orange-haired guy, would be sitting in the White House in 2017. A new Attorney General, and now a new FBI Director. The mind boggles...
