#NiUnaMenos: Once Again, Argentine Women Took to the Streets to End Gender-Based Violence
Quote:

Last Saturday, hundreds of thousands of us, Argentine women, went out to the street with our signs and the banners of our organizations. Many men also marched with us—they have understood that demanding “Not One Woman Less” is urgent. That this is about life, in the present and in the future.

Denouncing and ending with the rule of patriarchy is linked to the struggle to destroy capitalism. They’re related in the death they cause every day—here and around the world.

But, but, you had people in power in Argentina for nearly 17 years, ....17 years...!..., who made life in Argentina WONDERFUL again. They solved all of its economic problems, brought about equality for all, solved the problems with indigenous populations. Argentina was "Paradise-on-earth."

Are you telling us that 'some problems' in Argentina remained? How can that be?

Argentina movement mobilizes to fight violence against women
Quote:

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) — On Christmas Eve of 2011, Maira Maidana lit a candle to the patron saint of Argentina and closed her eyes in prayer - just like she did every time she feared a brutal beating by her partner.

But this time, instead of the usual blows, she felt her whole body catch on fire. When she turned around, she saw him staring at her with a bottle of alcohol in one hand. Ablaze, she ran to three faucets, but not a single drop of water came out.

Argentina Falls in World Ranking of Female Representation in Government
Quote:

In a country with a historically visible female presence in politics, it’s surprising that only 38 percent of the representatives in Argentina’s Chamber of Deputies are female, and women make up 41.7 percent the Senate. While Argentina was among the first of many Latin American countries to pass a gender quota law, there is still some controversy surrounding women in power here.

There have been limited similar protest appearances here. The most recent was called something like Save the Nipple and protested breast covering laws for women only. The South American protests are more widespread and explosive because of the somewhat more traditional cultural attitudes toward public display of the female body. When such protest techniques become popular in the Arab world, the war on terrorism will at last be over.

According to official figures, so far this year femicide has been committed on average once every 25 hours in Argentina.

See the past year here.
Most men are murdered by their wives using poison....These murders are not even discovered............ :wah:
Most married men gladly take the poison their wives give them...

Denial then defiance: Former sex slave in Argentina fights for justice
Quote:

BOGOTA (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Enslaved and trapped in a brothel for six years in the southern Argentine port city of Ushuaia, Alika Kinan was beaten and forced to have sex with up to 30 clients a night.

But when police raided the ‘Sheik’ street brothel in the center of the resort city in a rescue operation in 2012, Kinan’s immediate reaction was one of denial and dismay.

She didn’t recognize herself as a victim. Instead she tried to defend her pimps and her work.

“It was a short-lived Stockholm syndrome,” Kinan, now 41, said. “I never thought I was a victim of human trafficking. I thought I was working,” she told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Why don't fat old men like Herr M. stage a nude counter-protest. Now that would be something to see!
Me? Fat?

I'm 6'2" 185lbs, fit/muscular and could stand on my own when being swarmed by screaming Argentinian women.

I want to know how many men died every 29 hours as a result of domestic violence....Many men die of an apparent heart attack when they were actually poisoned by their beloved....There is no rational reason that so many more men than women die of a heart attack................
