So what are we supposed to believe? That if the Russian lawyer had a portable hard drive with with 10 GB of hacked Hillary Clinton emails that they outright admitted the Russian government had obtained illegally, that Donald Trump Jr., the man who had no qualms meeting with someone he was told was a Russian foreign agent and who he expected to have "opposition research", aka dirt on his dad's political opponent, would have declined to take the hard drive because suddenly he developed qualms?

Really?
Quite an imagination you got there...too bad for you none of it happened and even if it did...it wouldn't have been illegal. Sorry, not sorry.
l take it by your claim that it would not be illegal, which I hold to be highly suspect, that you wouldn't care if the Russians were hacking the servers of U.S. political candidates and handing it over to their opponents, as long as yours was the side that received the illegally obtained information.

That about right?

Let me get this straight...

Don Jr. is in trouble because he agreed to hear someone speak?
"Someone"? Just someone?

And just "one" or is it four, or is it six or... :dunno:

In all fairness you probably did not hear about the email chain that Donald Trump Jr. released. They are available, I could put them up here if you like. :)

I read the emails, that's why I'm asking the question. All he agreed to was a meeting in which he would hear what someone had to say.

Please show me where it was anything more than that...
Seriously???

“to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father”.

“This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr Trump.”

Trump Jr welcomes this with the reply: “If it’s what you say, I love it, especially later in the summer.”

Goldstone describes the Russian lawyer they are due to meet, Natalia Veselnitskaya, as a “Russian government attorney”.

Just admit you don't care. :shakeshead:

If Russia hacked Hillary's E-mails, don't you think they would have leaked those 30,000 missing e-mails after Hillary deleted them ???...The fact that they didn't casts doubt on the liberal Russiagate fantasy....Did Obama hack the recent election in Israel ???...............

Wow! That's a major movement of the goal posts there. Okay, we can handle it.

At this stage there is the possibility that there may be campaign finance laws being violated.

52 USC 30121, 36 USC 510, a law that prohibits contributions to campaigns from foreign nationals.

A foreign national shall not, directly or indirectly, make a contribution or a donation of money or other thing of value, or expressly or impliedly promise to make a contribution or a donation, in connection with any Federal, State, or local election."

And

"No person shall knowingly solicit, accept, or receive from a foreign national any contribution or donation prohibited by" the law.

The course and outcome of the investigation will tell us.

Now some questions for you.

Why all the lies over this meeting by Donald Trump Jr.? (I think five versions to this point) - You're okay with it?

And what about "right and wrong". Taking this meeting? Not calling the FBI. How do you justify that as the right thing to do?

Russia did not hack Clinton's emails. They hacked the DNC and Podesta. Possessing that material would be a crime since they were stolen.
