I find it interesting how Republicans are all "right to work" when it comes to employees being fired on a whim by their employer, but all "noncompete agreements" when it comes to employees wanting to quit their jobs.
I find it interesting how folks are quite willing to comment on the law without actually having read the law.

Absolutely, god forbid that a liberal be allowed to comment on a thread without having done a thorough research job of having read all the laws involved rather than having just the reading the news article linked, like most of the conservatives.
I find it best to at least try to have some idea of what I'm talking about before shooting my mouth off, but if you wanna go a different route...hey knock yer self out.

The thing is Opie, these days much of the information we gather, and unfortunately rely on, is spoon fed to us through a media filter, which either omits pertinent information (disinformation by omission), misrepresents the facts, or outright lies to us. Doesn't matter if you're right or left, they think we're all stupid. Wadda ya say let's endeavor to prove them wrong rather than make excuses for preventable ignorance.

Until you set your goal higher, you have no intellectual high ground over them.
The fact is that you troll this board doing nothing other than trying to call out liberals for various things you consider "transgressions". I'm not obligated to research any topic I comment on to a depth that satisfies you.

I think I made it very clear, that you have every right to remain ignorant of the facts.

And I may be guessin here but I'll bet when you endeavor to educate conservatives on the facts, you do not yourself consider it 'trolling the board" Of course not. :oyvey

And Opie.... permit me to correct an oversight. Your original comment had as much to do with trolling cons as it did with speaking ignorantly without the benefit of knowledge.

Yes, I troll cons. Just like many cons troll libs. In fact, there are many con posters who do pretty much nothing but troll libs here on p.com.

But you've got to have a beef with the occasional troll I throw out.

Hypocrite.

Indeed, low information opinions and excuse making are generally viewed as a waste of time.

funny you should say that, because I was about to say...

...right to work laws address this type of thing quite nicely

companies should have a right to enforce non-competes insofar as preventing folks from sharing proprietary information with competitors

but they should not be allowed to prevent people from moving into other jobs in the same industry

the problem arises when someone tries to bring clients & customers with them; if you use the resources of a company to develop a client list; those clients rightfully belong to the company

but the company should not be able to prevent you from leaving and developing new business elsewhere

this sounds like a crappy law

Pointing a gnarly finger at conservative hypocrisy instead of addressing the topic. That's where the hijacking occurred

....LOL, an it ends with you exposing your own hypocrisy.
