It is bad history to view la reconquista through the lens of contemporary religious values. None of the players in Spain during the years from 711 to 1492 looked at the issues the way twenty-first century people do. Political propaganda can be disguised as history but that doesn't make it any less dangerous. |

So, then, ...you are in agreement that the new Crusades should be launched post haste? The idea that European history and culture is being destroyed before our very eyes is, what, acceptable to you? Okey-dokey? Just remember to wash the windows of your new mosques as you began the process of re-populating Europe under Sharia Law? Mozart |

Boy oh Boy, Mozzie's on a twisted mission again! Mozart is the poster who criticises the BBC for its accuracy yet posts article from Gatestone Institute This news source is great buddies with Geert Wilders paying his travel expenses etc so that he could give a lecture before their anti-Muslim organsation - hell, they even publish his articles! Why? Because their own articles are flights of fantasy, so why baulk at articles from the Netherlands 21st right-wing extremist lunatic? Gatestone, you might remember, published articles claiming that Europe had Muslim "no-go zones" claiming that areas in European cities were governed by Sharia. Absolute rubbish, of course, but the kind of thing that gives WAM a stiffy reading. Where did Gatestone get the idea from? From Daniel Pipes, who later retracted his claims. That was back at the beginning of the decade but only last year Gatestone claimed that British Press had been ordered to avoid reporting the Muslim identity of terrorists by the European Union. Again false so Gatestones eventually corrected the article and apologized for the error before removing it entirely from its website. Like I said, Mozzie regularly derides the BBC yet here he is quoting Mickey Mouse Gatestone as Gospel Cheers Hughmac PS: Guess who is the largest real-estate owner in Spain? Schoen Guten Morgen Herrn Hughmac...! I was just rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, staggering my way to the kitchen for morning coffee and then firing-up the Dell for morning headlines when I came across your posting. Ach du meine Liebe! Years of experience has taught me that topics relating to Spanish politics and Muslims in Gloucester Cathedral will always bring a rise out of Hughmac. (... ) I gather your posting had something to do with the usual 'objectionable' material from my quote of "Gatestone," a source I barely noticed when posting. "Uh-oh," I thought, "Gatestone must be one of those alt-right, super-duper conservative, Himmler-quoting, right-wing rags we've heard so much about."I looked, Ah, nope. Not even close. It's run by John Bolton, the former UN Ambassador for the United States. OK, he's conservative, just like the BBC is an ultra, ...far, far, left-wing British, government-sponsored supposed news source, supported by the 50% of the British tax-paying public who usually vote Tory in elections and must, by law, suffer the political indoctrination of BBC personnel who compose 95% of the commentators/analysts and are primarily 'far' left-wing loons who vote Labor and Communist whenever the opportunity arises. Er, we've made that point here before..... Here's what's interesting. You ONLY objected to the news source (Gatestone), gasp...!, and then completely ignored the point of the story, the transformation of an historic Catholic church in Spain into a Muslim mosque with funding coming from Qatar and Saudi Arabia, i.e. to bring Allah back inside the Cathedral of Córdoba. True? Not true? It's called, avoiding the point. Yes, the Catholic Church is indeed the largest land holder in Spain, but so what? What does that have to do with the price of kumquats in Thailand? Next, there was this quote:
Wow! Did you really write that? Breathtaking. Jaw-dropping. Have you been to London, ...lately? How about Brussels? How about Paris? Can I entice you to take a trip to Malmo? We'll all chip-in for your travels. I would post 300 or more articles refuting that lunacy (not all from Gatestone either... ), but my coffee is getting cold, and I've gotta meet a friend for lunch.Mozart Edited by W A Mozart, Jul 23 2017, 10:05 AM.

These people are ignorant. Judiasm, Christianity and Islam share the same God. All three are Abrahamic religions based on the same God. The person may have been referring to Jesus but a true Christian knows that Jesus is not God. |

Mozart, time to take you medicines again! And I highly recommend to get consultation from other doctors if they can prescribe better medicines for you. You might need some marijuana, which you can already get legally in some states in the US. ![]() Over 70% of people living in Europe are Christians, and only about half of 740 million people actually believe in any god. So, how on earth a single minority of religions is in danger of destroying the rest of non-religions and other religions? But as your brain is not in touch with the realities of human life, I don't expect any intelligent response from you. BTW, your life must be very boring, and posting your messages in this board is the main issue in your life (I don't know if you're capable of living a day without additional help from healthcare systems, whatever is (not) existing in the US as half of the people don't want to pay anything at all for any kind of healthcare. ![]() |

My oh my, ...Jar, ...another hang-over? Wrong side of the bed this morning? Too much Finlandia without washing it down with bread and herring? We warned you! Tch,....tch. But, we have YOU on internet giving a speech... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OShTUfGCnVQ Meanwhile... "Finnish minister says new 'grand mosque' plans could pose 'security risk'...." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/finland-grand-mosque-helsinki-islam-extremism-islamophobia-tarja-mankkinen-pia-jardi-a7715761.html
Several candidates in April’s municipal elections - as well as other politicians and several other members of public life - weighed in on the proposals, which led to demonstrations in 2015. Incoming centre-right mayor Jan Vapaavuori said during his campaign that he would actively try to stop the mosque being built. While at the top levels of government the mosque has received support, Finland, like much of Europe, has seen a rise in popularity of right-wing populist parties in recent years which attract votes by capitalising on anti-immigration fears. In keeping with our Finnish theme, let's see what Gatestone says....
https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/7559/finland-migrant-crisis And then there is this... "With all of Finland's talk of multiculturalism and immigration, new narratives about the corrosive effects of both multiculturalism and the wave of asylum seekers have surfaced in the media, shocking both the government and the public. News stories discuss the increase in unemployment, the mounting cost of social benefits during the decline of welfare state, problems in educating foreigners, and issues of assimilation with the majority culture, which respects Finnish values and a secular, liberal and open society -- all different from traditional Muslim values. In Finland, more and more cases of Finnish girls and women being raped by asylum seekers are being widely publicized. Much of Finnish society seems shocked, embarrassed and angry because of the increase in rapes perpetrated by asylum seekers. These crimes have provoked many nationalists, and led to the establishment of a paramilitary movement known as the Soldiers of Odin. Members of the movement view themselves as Finnish patriots, roaming the streets of Finland, protecting against Muslim immigrant offenders." Mozart Edited by W A Mozart, Jul 23 2017, 04:52 PM.

So you're obsessed with the rape statistics in each country, right? When you actually compare the statistics to the actual rapes which are suspected to happen in this country, for example, which the social and healthcare organizations (both government provided and private), the number is suspected to be 10,000-15,000 (tenfold or over to the reported number). These suspected numbers of rapes have been around those amounts for a couple of decades at least (as mental healthcare systems have grown much better than before). And why are those figures so much higher that the official statistics reported to the police? Mainly because these rapes happen inside a family and/or close relatives and the victims are mostly too ashamed and not strong enough to report the rape officially to be prosecuted and handled by the legal system. Also, we have a number of religious Christian groups which are highly suspected to be protecting internal rapes and sexual harrassments in their internal value-systems. However, the threshold of reporting rapes by strangers have become much more acceptable and easier to make (with the online crime reports as well). FYI: Soldiers of Odin is being lead by mostly drunken people, who are admiring nazis. In general, the organization has been withering away since 2015, as they themselves have cause much more problems to the general security than the people who they are concentrating their hatred on. They have killed at least one by-passer (who was completely Finnish) in the centre of Helsinki, who started arguing with them, and caused fear in several cities and towns across Finland, and also harrassed childrens in school yards (school personnel needing to call police for help). Also, in the city centre there was close by each other two camps since last year: One against the asylum seekings (and foreigners in general) and one looking for support for not returning asylum seekers to too violent places (to which they have a legal right in the laws). The "Finnish First" camp caused much more disturbance to the general security of the people (threathening people with guns and knives and setting the pro-asylum seekers camp on fire) so it was dismantled. Soon after that, the other camp was also close because the police could not quarantee their safety. Link for you: http://www.helsinkitimes.fi/finland/finland-news/domestic/14862-asylum-seekers-ordered-to-shut-down-protest-camp-at-helsinki-railway-square.html Also, one of the major populistic political party, which is in the current government (WELL, SORT OF), the Basic Finns , actually got partly dismantled and divided into the radical and not so radical part (which has never happened in this country before since 100 years of existance). The radical part of that party is well known for being one-subject party only: very nationalistic. They blame the foreigners for every single problem and of course the EU as well. Many of those people have mental issues in their lives which they cannot deal with and they always blame others for their own personal issues. Link for you: https://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/finns_party_breakaway_group_to_be_named_blue_reform/9678859 BTW, I don't trust this Blue Reform party either, as they are still too nationalistic in their ideals and especially in the past as I've personally exchanged a couple of public posts with a few of those members in local sites. The entire Basic Finns party grew on racism and racism only. Values of such people are not easily changed, when you have personal problems behind. Yes, I know of the controversy of the 'grand mosque' plans. No decisions have been made of that yet. FYI: One of the most important persons in my life was raped at the age of 9, in the 1980's, by a relative of hers... So, don't talking to me about the most important reasons why rapes happens in every single country on the planet. Mozart, it is YOU who is not in touch with the actual realities of this world. You have clearly some mental issues and cannot cope with those problems so the first, foremost and psychologically easiest is to blame something unknown and new. Edited by jar, Jul 25 2017, 03:19 PM.

And, ...and, you're just a silly, and weird, Finnish liberal/socialist/'far' left-winger who has no idea what his insane political ideology is leading to in his own country. Forget the Red Army, the real danger to Finland is people like you. There is a ton of material on Finland and the 'disaster' that his migrant assimilation. T'aint happinen. There is a fascinating row taking place on the internet with regards to British history, and how the 'far' left-wingers over at the BBC now portray it. It's positively Orwellian. It appears the famous author, J.K. Rowling, of Harry Potter fame, (and a flaming socialist) has gotten into this thing. It's a brief education how the world is being 'spun' today. It's complete insanity. The boys at the BBC have turned Roman Britain into a 'melting pot' of ethnic diversity. Breathtaking stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtPZhDH4QU8 Mozart |

Not the point, ...at all. A typical liberal response to a direct question, does the 'dramatic' increase in actual and reported rapes in Scandinavian countries, Finland obviously included, bear any correlation to the 'dramatic' influx of migrants, mostly from Muslim countries? There is NO debate here. The statistics are overwhelming. Breathtaking. Most of Sweden is now hiding behind closed doors. Women are reluctant to go out at night, and the police simply avoid the many, many (pay attention here Hughmac...) "no-go zones." Women throughout Scandinavia, and in Finland as well, have become targets for attacks. Music concerts have become 'rape festivals.' Societal life is being destroyed throughout Scandinavia. It is a catastrophe. The irony here is that had Joseph Stalin succeeded in his war against the Finns, Helsinki would be a much safer place to live today. Ponder that. Please read my other posts, if you have either forgotten what's my experience in this world of ours (which is MUCH larger than you can ever imagine). As if travelling without paying is a completely new phenomenon... I find it very easy to believe that every single person who has ever taken a public ride has not paid their every ticket. I myself have also done that a couple of times for a short distance where I know there is too short a time for any inspections. That's way more easily possible in the trains than in the buses in this country. This video clip happened and was published just a couple of weeks ago in the local media as well. The company who provided that bus line (Nobina Finland), has to pay every cent they got for servicing public transportation in the capital area to this governmental authority: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helsinki_Regional_Transport_Authority The company gets no provision at all by providing the transportation in this area. I understand your post if the persons, who are trying to travel without paying, are trying to use the racism card and accusing the driver being racists. In this case, it was the bus driver filming this. What if the bus driver filmed any "typically Finnish" person who could have cought travelling without paying? Especially in the late night buses and trains, there's a lot of people from all age groups who are not paying for their ride and some even mentioning it out for the public. It's not any more the bus drivers' business to check if a passenger has a valid ticket or not. It's the ticket inspectors' job. https://www.hsl.fi/en/information/how-use-public-transport BTW, the public transportation system has just changed a few weeks ago in the capital area of Finland that you can't even buy a ticket from the bus/train/tram any longer. A lot of tourists will be thrown out of the vehicle also because of this change... It's not a very tourist friendly system either any longer, IMHO. Couple of links for general public knowledge, which you seemingly do not understand anything at all of life in this planet of ours: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fare_evasion http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/millions-fare-beaters-mta-8-million-bus-ride-article-1.175537 (a bit old but this kind of everyday life is not changing that easily among us humans) |
