I made a new friend this week and we discussed corruption by police officers. The start of the story begins when she was living in California and got a divorce from her police man husband. After awhile, one day when the cars were bumper to bumper she "tapped" the car in front of her. It is almost certain that she was going less than 1 mph. The person who she hit was a jerk and made a big deal and wanted a cop to document the "accident" Remember how her ex was a cop? When she got the complete file, there were over approximately 50 additional new charges with corresponding fines. She was understandably upset, but then one of her friends asked if she had talked to her Senator. Like many other people like me, I /she had no idea this was an option. I had always assumed that my Congressional representative/s were to busy with political matters to help people with personal problems. So, she contacted her Senator and ALL CHARGES WERE DROPPED I wish I had known about this 10 years before when I wanted to dispute the charges of two tickets (long story) So my lesson for today is: Congress is not subordinate to the President - it is an equal. Our Congressional Representatives work for us. |

I don't depend on Congressional inquiries....I go to the top and get quicker action with Presidential inquiries............

Only liberals can choose not to go down the road to widespread, systematic violence. | |
