A 5.1-magnitude seismic event was recorded in North Korea Sunday that the U.S. Geological Survey says was a "possible explosion, located near the site where North Korea has detonated nuclear explosions in the past."

South Korea's Korea Meteorological Agency said it is suspected to be an "artificial earthquake."

this will secure peace in the region :)
a small nation has no other option to prevent American agression, which is easilly undertaken for minor electoral reasons, just to add a couple of points to the score domestically.
So, if we remember Kaddafi - he acquired all nesessary equipment to make nuclear weapon, just failed to assemble and make it work. Big part of nuclear technologies were provided by US ally Pakistan, some - by North Korea.
I presume now, after the World clearly sees there's no other way to prevent American agression but nukes - black nuclear market must be booming.... :)
And the US is humiliated, or better to say self-humuliated, having used such a strong threats, having used so much threats, having escalated rethorics to the highest possible level - and now helplessly watching Kim publicly and quietly pissing on the US and its military might. :) The US is the single author of this comedy show :)

congradulations, comrades! :))) (not Kim, but you)
you are being forced to adopt common sense, luckily for you
now you can relax and go home, and think twice before starting another war, which can take millions of lives. And don't forget to thank Kim, he's the only one in this conflict who has head on his shoulders...

Three Dangerous Delusions About Korea

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-09-02/three-dangerous-delusions-about-korea

with such a clumsy but successful efforts to loose face the US is just bringing closer the moment it will be kicked out of the region....

the only possible solution of Korean problem is de-occupation of S.Korea and Japan, i.e. Americans troops must leave. And Russia and China become powers ensuring non-agression against North Korea. Otherwise I see no possubility of Kim giving up his nukes.

Maybe I should have said - if it is ever to happen, it is possible this way... Most probably nuclear North Korea is irreversible.
I'm also sceptical, since the main precondition of Korean disarmament is making the US a non-agressive, peaceful state. Which is not going to happen in nearest decades :)
As well there's a good economic reason - I think North Korea may save money maintaining a dozen nuclear missiles instead of keeping 1 mln strong conventional army and the most extensive fleet on the Earth...
The general path of human kind is more and more countries becoming nuclear, which eventually will lead to nuclear conflict, I think it's only matter of time. So far nuclear India and Pakistan is not enough to reform UN security councel, which is half dead but still puts some obstacles in front of the Brave New World where Brazil, Mexico, Iran, Saudia, Egypt, Japan, Germany, Indonesia, Malaisia, S.Korea, Turkey, Nigeria, and maybe Algeria, Argentina, S.Africa are also nuclear.
The US, as always, being half-brained thinks the new era of US hegemony has come and will last forever, and thinking just 0,5 step ahead is trying hard to destroy what is left of post-WWII World order, thinking it can alone cope with the World becoming nuclear and multi-multi-polar. We can clearly see how much the US succeeds in it

So, theoretically, as the slightest hope - I think some coordinated efforts might have some chance. But of course it is not going to happen, American elite doesn't see farer than its nose, and as the US led itself into a stunning and shameful defeat in North Korea, just in the same manner it destroys relations with Russia and China, just bringing American final decline closer.
Popular democracy is not the system which promotes wisdom and tough, but correct decisions. It prompts irresponsible populists and greedy money wallets to decision making.

Following remarks from the leaders of South Korea and Japan, President Donald Trump has responded to North Korea's latest "perfect" nuclear test, emphasizing that South Korea's "talk of appeasement will not work," and that Kim Jong Un and his government "only understand one thing!" He added that the nuclear test is an embarrassment...to China.

Trump is so funny :) Poor China, what a disgrace it is for her that North Korea successfully challenges the US, making Trump beg for China's assistance right after he promiced trade war .... :)
Sooner the US retreats less harm it will be to the image of America, but I think the funniest moments are still ahead... :)

It is fascinating here to speculate what is going-on behind the scenes. This is the biggest news story of the 21st century. Huge. What happens next is anyone's guess. My guess here would be that Trump and the Japanese are putting enormous pressure on the Chinese, ...to do something. China is the lynch pin. Ninety percent of North Korea's trade goes through China. If China blocks access to North Korea, Kim Jong-un would probably turn to Iran. The problem here would be ships from North Korea potentially being blockaded on the high seas. Wow.

This will not end well.

Much of the young of South Korea have turned soft, lazy and stupid. They've forgotten their history and are too busy enjoying western capitalism to look northward. They are going to get an ugly lesson in modern warfare, and soon. Remember Psy? This loon had a youtube hit a few years back, the MOST watched youtube single in their history, and was actually invited to a Christmas dinner at the Obama White House. Then he was invited to the White House Correspondence dinner in Washington D.C. in 2013. Really. I'm not kidding. You can look it up.

When the North Korean's start with their invasion past the 38th parallel, with massive tanks and artillery, you can bet that ole Psy will be walking 'gangnam style' as fast as his quivering little legs will carry him..... :machinegun: :nana:

no, Mozart, it is going to end just excellent, absolutely in any case.
The US has cornered itself into situation where it looses in any case, whatever it does. Kim wisely demonstrates balls since it's the only way to survival, and he will keep doing it. While the US has just 3 options - to return to Kim's appeasement, which will demonstrate to the World how one must secure himself and talk to the US, plus a sunning defeat of the US.
Or to attack North Korea, in better case it will lead to nuclear war in which half of South Korea, 1/4 of Japan and hopefully a couple of US cities will be desyroyed, along with North Korea, after which China will say - it's enough, boys, and will occupy North Korea, leaving the US with no victory and heavy losses.
One may hope that Kim's regime will crumble if he's killed, but I would not hope too much...
And the 3d option, the most possible one - Trump will keep blaiming Democrats for having not dealt with North Korea before it got nukes, will keep frightening Koreans but with no actions, so the World will get used to it and everything will return to business as usual, but with nuclear Nirth Korea and the World laughing at the US :)
Most probably then Trump will invade some other small country, let's say Venezuela, to restore his and US image. Venezuela will become a second Afghanistan with Russia and China supporting rebels aka legitimate venezuelian government, and we'll return to present situation plus another burden on Americans and more countries secretly developing nuclear weapons :)
the US is going to loose in this case in any way.
