Turns out that Scotland Yard did indeed have the bomber in their sights ahead of the attack. And yet did nothing to stop it. Edited by Robertr2000, Sep 15 2017, 10:56 AM.

The Brit are overly sensitive. They know they have thousands of Jihadis in their midst. Trump is going to rub their collective noses in it! Too bad.

The Parsons Green bucket bomb could have caused more devastation than those that killed 53 people in the 7/7 attacks, experts have said. The explosive device sent a huge firewall through a packed London Underground train, injuring 29 people as they made their way into the centre of the capital. But fortunately the main explosive charge failed to detonate, preventing potentially catastrophic consequences. A timer is understood to have been found on the device, suggesting the terrorist left it on board the train and then got off. It also suggests it was intended to go off at busier stations further down the line. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4890328/Parsons-Green-bomb-deadlier-7-7.html#ixzz4srihTHwP |

One day you guys will wake up to the fact that you have a loud-mouthed, petulant twat as a president, who thinks that posting such comments as "loser" on his knee-jerk twitter posts is in some way befitting of the position of the US Head of State, which your society used to hold dear. Sadly, no matter what utter rubbish or off-at-the-mouth blurts he comes up with next, there are US posters who will seek to justify it and even, as in this thread, uphold it as "lucid sagacity." I suppose the only way to understand Trump supporters is: "I know he is lying, but I agree with him anyway." Sad Cheers Hughmac Edited by Hughmac, Sep 17 2017, 01:35 AM.

No need to- the perp was a refugee. If England had Trump's Muslim ban, this would have never happened. S Korea's refusal to accept ISIS refugees has been similarity successful. |

You don't need terrorists; you have fellow Americans with a penchant for the mass killing of their fellow citizens. When you're not shooting each other out of stupidity, your police do it for you... and then get invariably let off for it. In the meantime, South Korea, the society you apparently worship, is scared s**tless of their neighbours over the border. Wait... they're fellow Korean too! Shucks, and there was me thinking that Korea was utopia... Cheers Hughmac |

Yes, London isn't the equal of Seoul- welcome to 2017. Please inform us how many acts of Islamic terror there are in Korea; do tell us how many Syrian refugees they have accepted. |

Um hello? Been following the news lately? Missiles over Japan? South Korea on high alert? Nuclear-armed North Korea run by a crazy itching to visit Seoul in a tank? Kinda guess they would gladly swap a few terrorist attacks for their present problems, just saying! Oh, wait, they "tie their dogs up on strings of sausages," as the Spanish say, right? If you can't figure that refrain out, let me know, but it sums up your take on anything Asian. Have a good Sunday - that is sincerely wished, by the way ;-) Cheers Hughmac Edited by Hughmac, Sep 17 2017, 01:28 PM.

Hughmac is a British ex-pat Conservative with a great deal of cosmopolitan common sense. I have been reading his posts with pleasure since my first days here; in fact, it was his explanation of Republican guerrilla in the early days of the Franco regime that caused me to join P.com. How things have changed! Most of this site's foreign members have dropped off in disgust as P.com has become an alt-right troll hole. Too bad... |

"Cosmopolitan common sense" is responsible for the death of western civilization. That mentality does not infect the East Asian elite and this explains why the Orient has surpassed the Occident. |

You know, "perspectives" is not just the title of this forum; it means, points of view or angles. I mention this because you appear to be struggling with the concept. For instance, imagine you are a South Korean citizen; what do you think would be most in your mind? Getting stabbed on the Underground (metro) or seemingly imminent war, probably nuclear, with a northern neighbour with ten times your population and run by a psychopath? Do you really think that Mr and Mrs Seoul Resident go to bed thinking - wow I'm glad that we didn't let in any Muslim refugees because there is a minute possibility that one of their number is a crazy with a knife and I would be just unlucky enough to be sitting in the same carriage as him on the day he flips his lid (even though there x-times more probability that I will die in a car accident) or do you think they would be thinking, "where is the nearest nuclear shelter? should I be getting extra food in? Or, which of the too crazies: Trump and the NK Dictator, is going to blow it? Perspectives, no less. You're this guy sitting in god-knows-where in the USA, obsessed with Muslim terrorists (there's nothing that an American likes more than getting jittery - it's a great opportunity to scream, "we're all gonna die" in your nearest Walmart." Yet you're going crossed-eyed trying to portray Europe as surging in Muslim hordes whilst at the same time glorifying anything remotely Asian, as long as they don't wear a tea-towel on their heads (sucks to be a Sikh in America, by the way). Lie goes on - you and I will probably die of cancer or in a road accident (disappointing for you, admittedly; you probably envisage yourself having mown down swathes of screaming terrorists in your gun-shot-ridden last breaths) Hell, you even stand a good chance of getting blown away by a trigger-happy policeman or demented neighbour with a houseful of firearms. But fear not, as you lie there, you can utter the failing but comforting words, "Bet you're a sneaky Muslim!" Cheers Hugh And welcome to Monday! |

Yep, we should try the American system: ! 1) Shoot the wrong guy dead, because he looked at you funny. 2) Invade the wrong country using completely false justification, thus screwing up the whole region and putting the terrorist-making machine on overdrive. 3) Elect Coco The Clown as the next US President. 4) Legalise the incarceration and torture of dark people in distant lands who look at you funny. 5) Run around in diminishing circles screaming, "we're all going to die" until you go dizzy and puke, then shoot any bystander with a strange accent. Cheers Hughmac |
