Comrade - what you fail to recognize (or more likely, understand) is that most countries, at least the successful ones embrace more capitalism than socialism. Even Sweden, Denmark, Germany are mostly capitalist countries because without capitalism - they would look like east germany or Moldavia. The gist is - these countries are doing quite well DESPITE socialism, not because of it. |

Also up until recently those countries had a homogeneous population and common beliefs when it came to borders, language and culture. Add to that relatively small populations with large natural resources to subsidize their socialism. Now that they have invited the non infidels over their borders that homogeneity of language and culture has been shattered, resources for their socialism strained and their countries are going to shiat quickly with no turning back....

The elites want more socialism that the domestic populations refuse to support - so they have to import poverty. Look at Paris The freedom of information spoils Atta's narrative - shame on him. Edited by estonianman, Nov 4 2017, 03:02 PM.

It's called social democracy, a mixed economy of social welfare and capitalism It's when a portion of the profits of capitalism are set aside for the use of society, like free education and universal healthcare Works great |

Works great - because of capitalism. The socialist components of those nationals are mediocre at best. |

Government policy is besides the point. Demographics trump. West Germany was the most productive country in the west, and East Germany was the most productive in the Soviet bloc. After the Second World War, S Korea was poorer than most of Africa and Latin America, and now its a wealthy first world nation. It’s in the genes. |

Apparently Danes aren;t suicidal as a nation ... Denmark Suspends Refugee Resettlement Under UN Program The Ugly Duckling: Denmark’s Anti-Refugee Policies and Europe’s Race to the Bottom COPENHAGEN — “I love Denmark!,” Hillary Clinton exclaimed during a debate with Bernie Sanders in October. Denmark — a tiny welfare state known for its liberal values — was, according to Sanders, a model to be emulated or at least applauded. In the months since that debate, Denmark’s reputation abroad has started to tarnish. Danish lawmakers have adopted a series of controversial measures in order to deter refugees from applying for asylum. In September, the government ran an anti-refugee ad campaign in Arabic newspapers warning them against going to Denmark. In December, Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen suggested that the 1951 Refugee Convention — a treaty that Denmark was instrumental in formulating and the first country to ratify — should be revised. And just last month, Denmark passed a bill restricting access to family reunification for Syrian refugees up to three years and allowing the police to search refugees and seize their assets. The harsh measures have caused an international outcry but also genuine surprise: why has Denmark — supposedly a brand name when it comes to human rights and development — adopted such austere policies? Why is Denmark suddenly leading a race to the bottom in Europe when it comes to deterring refugees? In fact, this should have come as no big surprise. Over the last 15-20 years, Denmark’s understanding of its role in global affairs has radically transformed, just as its immigration policies and national debate on Muslim immigration have. LINK |
