Does the head come off?
Barbie dolls come anatomically correct, so I guess it's safe to assume there's no female genital mutilation....

:dunno:
There's a razor blade in the bag of stones that comes with the doll....DIY
I'm going to buy a GI Joe and water board her....
Already done that....the waterproof models last longer....

You do know the hajib was also worn by Jewish women at one point right?
You are behind time. There's a difference between choice vs. rule/law.
There is no law requiring hijab Barbie wear a hijab.
There are laws forcing Muslim women to wear one. The doll is modeled after an Arabic woman who is being forced to wear the hajib.

Leftists must have strange definition for liberation.
Not in the United States. So unless you're living outside the states, it's not your problem.

Do you know what would happen to married Arabic women who do not wear a hajib in public?

I'll ask again, why are leftists supporting a doll that symbolizes oppression of women?
Kate Steinle was separated from her family permanently but leftists didn't seem to mind.

In many parts of the world wearing the hijab is completely voluntary on the part of the woman. In those parts of the world where it isn't, women are oppressed in so many ways I find focusing on the hijab to be rather ridiculous. What use is to a woman if she can go without wearing a hijab if she can still be a victim of an "honor" killing and her murderer walks free?

The leftist dictate that we must accept this foreign Muslim culture....But we must also stop promoting our own westernized Christian culture....It's absurd.... :oyvey

You clearly cannot articulate why its a problem you just want it to be so you are declaring it as such.

Let someone else answer the question that clearly you are punting on then.

I have no problem with the product.

And you can't articulate why you do. It's a shame that you have an opinion that you can't articulate on. Its not much of an opinion you have then, is it? More like a prejudice that follows a crowd you like to hang with that also can't articulate their opinions.

A hijab is a piece of clothing worn by many different people, mainly, but not exclusively, Muslims.

Islam is a religion, not an ideology. It is no different from Christianity or Hinduism in that regard. The problem isn't with Islam, it is with some Muslims. Just like there are problems with some Christians and some Hindus.

I will never condemn an entire group based on the bad acts of a minority and I will never equate a religion with an ideology.
